Can call all you want, but there's no one home

Hi guys ! How are you doing ? Hope you are enjoying your Sunday. I am going to spend this day trying to put all the light clothes away and welcoming back the coats and the pullovers into my wardrobe...it's a hard work and I have to do it !. I think I am gonna call my mum for help, LOL !. I have still got a few dresses to wear for the first time from my trip to New York...you can see one of them in this post, I personally love this Betsey Johnson blue roses dress and I am gonna wear it also when weather gets colder, with heavy black stockings and a black cardi, I think !.

Ciao a tutti, come state ? Spero che vi stiate godendo la Domenica. Io la trascorrerò in casa, cercando di mettere via gli abiti estivi per fare posto a cappotti e maglioni nel mio armadio...è un lavoro duro e devo proprio farlo !. Credo proprio che chiamerò mia madre per darmi aiuto :-). Ho ancora un po' di abiti comprati a New York da inaugurare...potete vederne uno in questo post, personalmente mi piace molto questo abitino di Betsey Johnson a rose blu e lo indosserò anche quando le temperature saranno più rigide, con un paio di calze coprenti nere e un cardigan in lana nero, credo !.

I must confess I am a sucker with all funny gadgets, sometimes the more unuseful they seem to be the more attracted I am to them ! Anyway, when I bumped into the Hi-Fun telephone handsets, with that retro style, I fell in love immediately and I had to buy it ! You can see it in these pics...it's just like an old fashion handsets, I attached it to my Iphone and when I wanna have a "good old times" inspired phone call I am just ready for it ! LOL :-). This gadget seems to be kitsch, I know, but I couldn't resist to it and since I am famous for finding a good reason to any purchase, I have to say it's good cause it eliminates up to 99 percent of the radiation absorbed compared to a direct use of mobile phones ! So here we are, a good reason to use this handsets without feeling silly ;-) !.

Devo confessare di essere fissata con i gadgets buffi, a volte più inutili sembrano più mi sento attratta da essi ! Comunque, quando ho visto la cornetta telefonica Hi-Fun, con questo stile retro, me ne sono innamorata e ho dovuto comprarla ! Potete vederla nelle foto seguenti...è proprio come una cornetta del telefono di quando ero piccola, l'ho attaccata al mio Iphone e quando voglio avere una conversazione telefonica "come ai vecchi tempi" sono pronta per rispondere ! LOL :-). Questo gadget sembra essere davvero kitsch, lo so, ma non potevo resistere e siccome sono famosa per trovare una ottima scusa per ogni acquisto fatto, devo dire che è buono perché elimina fino al 99% delle radiazioni rispetto ad un uso diretto del cellulare ! Ecco quindi una buona ragione per usare questa cornetta senza sentirsi stupide ! ;-).

- C'è sempre una buona ragione per comprare qualcosa, dovete solo trovarla...e anche se non ne siete completamente convinti, agite come se ne foste completamente convinti ! :-)
- Non rinunciate a comprare o a usare qualcosa solo perché avete paura di essere criticati o guardati male...fate ciò che vi rende felici !.

Am I ready for winter ?

Am I ready for winter time ? Apparently, not yet. I got used to using many colors, high heeled sandals and having long walks by the seaside. I've been complaining for the heat this summer and until a couple of days ago there was still this summery weather allowing to wear dresses like this floral one...and now I am already suffering the cold, LOL !. Maybe it's true we often want what we can't have ;-). Maybe another reason why I try to take the seasonal change slowly is my fear of putting all my clothes in the right place, it makes me think about how many clothes a shopaholic can have in her wardrobes...everytime I amaze myself at the number of clothes each wardrobe can fit in and changing my clothes from summery to winter clothes makes me feel a bit anxious, cause it takes me ages to do it !.
So this could be my last outfit with such a light dress for this season, I am not the kind of blogger going in the cold wind without a coat only to have some pics taken, I suffer the cold too much and I am not brave at all !.
I will surely try to bring a bit of summer with me thanks to the colorful coats and pullovers I have already seen for the upcoming winter...I love total black from time to time but I don't wanna give up on the colors, they truly make me feel happier, what about you ? Do you think winter means grey or black clothes or do you wanna use more colors also for winter clothes ?.

Sono pronta per l'inverno ? Pare non ancora. Mi ero abituata ad indossare capi molto colorati, sandali dal tacco altissimo e a fare lunghe passeggiate vicino al mare. Mi sono lamentata del caldo quest'estate e fino ad un paio di giorni fa c'era ancora questo tempo estivo che permetteva di indossare un abito come questo a fiori che vedete in foto...e ora sto già sentendo un po' di freddo, LOL !. Forse, è vero che spesso desideriamo ciò che non possiamo avere ;-). Forse un altro motivo che mi spinge a rallentare è il "cambio di stagione", ovvero mettere ordine nei miei armadi, evento che mi spaventa ogni anno data la mole di abiti che una maniaca dello shopping come me possiede...ogni volta mi stupisco di quanti vestiti possa contenere ogni singolo armadio e riporre quelli estivi per fare spazio agli invernali mi mette sempre un po' di ansia in quanto è una operazione che dura tantissimo !.
Questo però potrebbe essere il mio ultimo outfit con un abito così leggero, non sono il tipo di blogger che sfida il vento gelido senza un cappotto solo per avere dele foto, soffro troppo il freddo e non sono coraggiosa !. Proverò senz'altro a portare un po' di estate con me grazie ai cappottini e maglioni colorati che ho visto essere tanto di moda per il prossimo inverno ! Mi piace il total black ogni tanto ma non voglio rinunciare ai colori, mi fanno sentire più energica e felice, che mi dite di voi ? Credete che inverno significhi abiti grigi o neri o volete anche voi usare più colori anche per gli abiti invernali ?.

Snake & Balenciaga

Say goodbye to September ! It's not just the month of my birthday but also the month when I bought my very first Balenciaga bag :-). I've been wanting a new black bag and I was so determined to buy a Balenciaga, so after a few trips to posh shops and mental elucubrations about the right color (black or grey ?) I got my decision and I went for this black classic Work bag, it's perfect for me also cause I prefer large handbags !.
I am very satisfied with it, it's so soft and it screams quality...I am sure it's not gonna be the last Balenciaga bag for me, I think about getting a colored one for next spring-summer !.
I've always been a fan of animal prints (as you can also see from some posts here on this blog) and when I saw this python print jacket at Zara I couldn't help buying it ! With this post I am taking part to the Bloggers Do It Better challenge, it's about animal prints ;-).

Dite arrivederci a Settembre ! Settembre non è solo il mese del mio compleanno, ma anche il mese in cui ho comprato la mia prima borsa Balenciaga ! :-). Desideravo una borsa nuova di colore nero ed ero molto decisa a comprare una Balenciaga, così dopo un po' di giri in negozi molto 'posh' ed elucubrazioni mentali su quale fosse il colore davvero giusto (nero o grigio ?) ho scelto questa borsa classica modello Work, è perfetta per me che amo le borse capienti !. Sono molto soddisfatta della scelta, della sua morbidezza e del fatto che sia un prodotto di qualità e sicuramente non sarà la mia ultima Balenciaga, sto già pensando di comprarne una colorata per la prossima primavera-estate :-).
Sono da sempre fan delle stampe animalier (come potete notare anche da altri post di questo blog) e quando ho visto questa giacca effetto pitone da Zara ho dovuto farla mia ! Con questo post partecipo al "compito" di Bloggers Do It Better che è appunto in tema animalier ;-).

In those pics I am wearing a few items I bought in New York: Urban Outfitters burgundy pants (bought before I knew burgundy was meant to be so trendy this fall, I swear !), Jeffrey Campbell wedges and the Dash t-shirt.
I bought the shoes and the t-shirt during my shopping trips to Soho...the wedges are extremely comfy and caught my eyes immediately ! Jeffrey Campbell is famous for his weird shoes...you gotta love them or hate them, and I happen to like them :-).
Speaking about Dash, most of you will already know it's one of the shops owned by the Kardashian sisters, I was just walking down the streets in Soho when I saw people waiting in line to enter this shop...I got curious so I waited for a bit in line with the other people - mostly women, of course. I got in and I didn't see the Kardashian sisters (only on a giant posters) but I bought that black t-shirt and since it's very simple and basic, then it's also very easy to match !.

Nelle foto seguenti sto indossando anche alcuni articoli acquistati a New York: pantaloni color vinaccio o "burgundy" (ho scoperto solo dopo essere molto di moda quest'anno, confesso) di Urban Outfitters, zeppe di Jeffrey Campbell e t-shirt di Dash.
Ho preso le scarpe e la t-shirt nel corso di una delle mie scorribande di shopping a Soho...le zeppe sono ultra comode e hanno attirato la mia attenzione immediatamente ! Le scarpe di Jeffrey Campbell sono di solito molto strane, o si amano o si odiano, senza mezze misure...e io le amo :-).
Per quanto riguarda Dash, molti di voi già sapranno che si tratta di uno dei negozi delle sorelle Kardashian, mi ci sono trovata a passare davanti a Soho e c'era una lunga fila di persone ad attendere per poter entrare, la maggior parte donne...mi sono incuriosita e così ho deciso di fare anche io la fila per entrare nel negozio, dove non ho visto le Kardashian se non in poster ma ho comprato la t-shirt che vedete, molto basic e comoda da abbinare !.

Non ricordo il brand della collana effetto pizzo ma la adoro ! :-)
