Red coat, golden pumps

I wanted my last outfit post of 2013 to be festive and also a good wish for new year, therefore let me introduce you to my brand new red coat ! No other color makes me feel like red does: it's a color for happiness and for self esteem, to me. It just screams: look at me, I am not afraid to be noticed by the other people !. No matter about my faults, after my teenage years when black was the only safe color, I have blossomed into an adult woman that enjoys playing with colors so much, and isn't afraid to dare. This is the philosophy I am embracing for these last days of the year: let's prepare for good resolutions, but let's also appreciate what we achieved so far. Don't you agree with me ?.

Volevo che il mio ultimo post outfit del 2013 fosse "festaiolo" e di buon auspicio per il nuovo anno, quindi lasciate che vi presenti il mio nuovo cappotto rosso ! Nessun colore mi fa sentire come il rosso: è il colore della felicità e dell'autostima, per me. Sembra gridare: "guardatemi, non ho paura di farmi notare dagli altri" !. Non importa dei difetti, dopo gli anni dell'adolescenza, in cui il nero era l'unico "colore sicuro", sono diventata una donna adulta che ama giocare con i colori e non ha paura di osare. Questa è la filosofia con la quale affronto gli ultimi giorni di questo anno: prepariamoci ai buoni propositi, ma apprezziamo anche cosa abbiamo ottenuto fino ad ora. Non siete d'accordo ?.

I decided to wear this elegant black and golden dress, featuring a black turtleneck top and a flared skirt with a sort of animalier spots print. After all, red, black and gold together are perfect for party days, right ?.

I am a big fan of turtlenecks, and since this dress has a black top part I put a statement necklace on it to give more "light" to the whole look. 

Ho deciso di indossare questo abito in nero e oro, con un top a collo alto ed una minigonna svasata con una sorta di motivo a macchie animalier. Dopotutto, rosso, nero e oro sono un insieme perfetto per i giorni di festa, giusto ?.

Sono una grande fan dei colli alti e, dato che questo abito ha una parte superiore nera, ho scelto una statement necklace per dare luce all'intero look. 

I have always wanted a pair of golden pumps, and here they are...an elegant outfit is perfect to wear them, but I will be wearing them also with skinny jeans and a blazer, for sure. The only important thing when it comes to silver or golden shoes is to match them with a non-metallic bag, in my opinion, otherwise it would be too much. I wouldn't wanna look like a giant chocolate bar, even tho I am so fond of it !.

So, I went for my black Zara clutch as bag of choice, simple and with golden details. See it better in the pic below, together with a golden bangle bought a long time ago.

Ho sempre desiderato un paio di deco dorate, ed eccole...un outfit elegante è perfetto per calzarle, ma le porterò sicuramente anche con jeans skinny ed un blazer. 

L'unica cosa importante quando si hanno scarpe color oro o argento è, secondo me, non abbinarle ad una borsa uguale, altrimenti il risultato sarebbe eccessivo. Non vorrei assomigliare ad un gigantesco Ferrero Rocher, sebbene ne sia ghiottissima ! :-D

Così, ho scelto la mia clutch nera Zara, semplice e con dettagli dorati. Potete vederla meglio nella foto sotto, insieme ad un bracciale dorato comprato parecchio tempo fa.

The weather wasn't too cold to show you the dress, bought in a shop, italian brand is "Esplosione", without the coat on, so here's a few pics. I had my hair tied up in a ponytail because I like them more like this with a turtleneck. I wish I was good at trying new hairdos with my hair, but a ponytail is the best I can do, LOL. I keep watching tutorials on youtube but I am not very good at practice when it comes to hair, I am much better at make up ! What about you ?.

La temperatura non era tanto fredda, così ho potuto mostrarvi l'abito, comprato in un negozio, nome del brand italiano "Esplosione", senza il cappotto, ecco qualche foto. Avevo legato i capelli in una coda perché mi piacciono di più così se porto un collo alto. Vorrei essere brava a provare nuove pettinature, ma una coda è il massimo che riesco a fare, LOL. Spesso guardo i tutorials su youtube ma non sono tanto brava nella pratica quando si tratta di capelli, vado meglio con il make up ! Che mi dite di voi ?.

This red Kiomi coat has been one of my best purchases, cause I was looking for a coat with a clean cut and this one is just like I wanted: warm because it's mostly woolen, a big egg shaped and the three quarter lenght sleeves make it even more elegant. I was thinking about getting it also in black, but my size was sold out. 

Below you find a few pics with the buttoned coat, to see it better. In some pics I was wearing a basque, I always have a hat with me !. 

Questo cappotto rosso Kiomi è stato uno dei miei acquisti migliori, stavo cercando un cappotto dal taglio essenziale, ed è proprio come lo volevo: caldo perché composto da lana quasi al 100%, un po' ad uovo e con le maniche a tre quarti che lo rendono più elegante. Mi piace così tanto che lo avrei voluto anche in nero, ma era finito nella mia taglia. Ecco qualche foto a cappotto abbottonato, per vederne meglio la linea. In alcune foto porto il basco, ho sempre un cappello a portata di mano !.

I definately think a red coat is a must have for winter, together with a red lipstick and nail polish, better if it's a bright, bold red. Do you already own one ? Sales could be a great chance to get one if you don't have it already. That's all for today, have a wonderful weekend !.

Penso proprio che un cappotto rosso sia un must have per l'inverno, insieme ad un rossetto e smalto rosso, meglio se di una tonalità luminosa e vivace. Ne avete già uno ? I saldi possono essere un'occasione per comprarlo se non lo avete già. E' tutto per oggi, passate uno splendido weekend !.
