A bit of Soho with me

When travelling, I like to buy clothes and accessories as souvenirs, then when I wear them or use them it's like I bring a bit of the place where I bought them with me. Well, the dress you see in this outfit was bought during my unforgettable honeymoon in New York, in a Soho shop, it's called "Think closet". New York truly is the City of my dreams and I am planning another trip there next year. I will sure spend more time in the Greenwich Village and in Soho, two neighborhoods I have liked very much so far !. Until now, I can only think back at my holiday in one of the most amazing places on earth and especially today that is 9/11, I could say many things about the emotions I felt when visited the memorial but this is a fashion blog and I wouldn't wanna mix something so serious with something frivolous about a tragedy the world will never forget.

Quando viaggio, mi piace comprare abiti e accessori come dei souvenirs, così quando li indosso o utilizzo è come portare un po' del posto che ho visitato con me. L'abito che vedete in queste foto è stato comprato nel corso della mia indimenticabile luna di miele a New York, in un negozio di Soho, si chiama "Think closet". New York è veramente la città dei miei sogni e sto pensando di tornarci in viaggio l'anno prossimo e sicuramente vedrò di trascorrere più tempo al Greenwich Village e a Soho, due quartieri che mi sono piaciuti particolarmente !. Fino ad allora, posso solo ricordare la mia vacanza in uno dei posti più incredibili della terra e in particolare oggi, che è l'11/9, potrei dire tante cose in merito alle sensazioni che ho provato quando ho visitato il memorial ma questo è un blog di moda ed è difficile per me parlare di qualcosa di così serio in un contesto frivolo, a proposito di una tragedia che il mondo non dimenticherà mai.

Somebody asked me to explain how I did to move my followers to the new blog address (in my case, a domain) so that they didn't have to join on Bloglovin again if they were already following my blog. Well, if you go to your Bloglovin account, go under "Support", there are some Frequently Asked Question, one is "I have changed my blog address, can I move my followers?", the answer is that you have to go to your old blog and write a new post saying that you are moving and include a link to your new blog. When you have published the post on your old blog, use the form you find on the Bloglovin page and they will do the rest. Mind you, you have to add the other Blog on the same account, once they move followers they'll delete the old blog from your Bloglovin account automatically. I have to say the support at Bloglovin is excellent and fast ! Hope I was helpful.

Alcuni mi hanno chiesto come spostare i followers da Bloglovin in caso di cambio di indirizzo del proprio blog (nel mio caso, si tratta di un dominio), in modo che i vecchi followers non debbano iscriversi di nuovo. Beh, dovete andare nel vostro account di Bloglovin su "Support" e una delle domande è proprio "ho cambiato indirizzo, posso spostare i miei followers ?". La risposta è affermativa, si tratta di scrivere un post (sul blog dal nuovo indirizzo) dove si annuncia il cambiamento e di includervi il nuovo link a Bloglovin oltre a segnalare il nuovo indirizzo. Una volta pubblicato il post, si utilizza il form che si trova sotto la risposta alla domanda sul support di Bloglovin e loro faranno il resto. Ovviamente, dovrete prima iscrivere il nuovo blog nel medesimo account, in modo da avere iscritti entrambi i blog. Una volta spostati i followers da un blog ad un altro, il vecchio blog sarà cancellato direttamente dal vostro account e diventerà il vostro unico blog per Bloglovin. Devo dire che Bloglovin ha un supporto veramente eccellente e veloce !. Spero di essere stata utile.

Celebrating my magic month

Dear readers, I was thinking that July has been such a fantastic month to me ! My wedding, my stay in Sorrento (the place we chose for our wedding, just cause it was so romantic), the best holidays of my life so far in New York, the city of my dreams ! I like to think back about the past month and I have many pics to share with it cause I didn't blog much when I was busy living my magic days ;-). Now I have a few days free from work ahead of me and I am surely going to do my best to relax and have fun, but of course I am aware that August can't beat the awesomeness of July to me !...In order to fight this post-awesomeness sensation, I was thinking about getting myself a new bag, if it can't make me miss July less it surely doesn't make me feel worse, what do you think about it ? ;-)). Before walking on memory lane, I would like to remind you that you can click on each pic to make it larger (sometimes I get comments from people saying I should post larger pics, lol) and also I'd like to thank you for your comments and for following, Kisses ! xoxox

Cari lettori, stavo pensando che il mese di Luglio è stato un mese proprio fantastico per me ! Il mio matrimonio, la permanenza a Sorrento (il posto da noi scelto per il matrimonio, solo perché lo trovavamo romantico), la migliore vacanza fatta fino ad ora a New York, la città dei miei sogni !. Mi piace ripensare al mese passato e ho diverse foto da condividere con voi solo ora perché quando ero occupata a vivere i miei momenti magici non ho avuto troppo tempo e voglia di bloggare ;). Ora ho solo pochi giorni liberi per rilassarmi e divertirmi e di sicuro farò di tutto per viverli al meglio, ma sono ovviamente perfettamente consapevole che il mese di Agosto non potrà mai essere bello come lo è stato Luglio per me !... Al fine di combattere questa sensazione di post-meraviglia e non deprimersi, stavo pensando di comprarmi una bella borsa nuova, se non riuscirà a farmi mancare di meno il mese di Luglio di sicuro non mi potrà far stare peggio, voi che ne pensate ? ;-)).
Prima di iniziare a camminare sul Viale dei Ricordi, vi vorrei ricordare che cliccando su ciascuna foto è possibile vederla ingrandita, mi sento di scriverlo dato che mi capita di leggere commenti dove mi si dice che posto foto troppo piccole, lol ! One of the best things I did in New York was going to see a Musical in Broadway ! I saw Mamma Mia ! and it was awesome, then I saw Priscilla - Queen of desert and it was really incredible, amazing, what an experience ! I had the chance to take a pic and have my playbill signed by the awesome Nick Adams - he is so talented ! :-)

Una delle cose migliori che ho fatto a New York è stata andare a Broadway per i Musical ! Ho visto Mamma Mia ! ed è stato meraviglioso, poi Priscilla - Regina del deserto ed è stato incredibile, stupefacente, una esperienza bellissima ! Ho avuto anche la possibilità nel dopo spettacolo di avere l'autografo e una foto con Nick Adams, uno dei protagonisti di Priscilla, ha talento da vendere ! :-)

Breakfast at Tiffany

Dear readers, when I was in New York I spent so much time walking and looking at the buildings, monuments, museums...I saved one of the last days of the holiday to go out for heavy shopping. Of course, one of the places I had to go to was the Tiffany flagship store, on the 5th Avenue ! The place is amazing, there are 6 floors (well, the 6th is for customer service). I visited them all and the more I looked at those wonderful objects, the more I would have liked to have them ALL !. The third floor was for the sterling silver series and we stopped there, lol. I chose a wonderful bracelet, I wanted a few charms to remind me of this wonderful honeymoon so I decided I'd attach to it two locks with our initials, a bigger heart, the "5th avenue" tag and also the tiny Tiffany bag. The result was so cute !. I had to wait until the afternoon to have my bracelet back cause they had to put the charms in a permanent way, to my request. I also got myself another key, a smaller one with the blue heart and the extra big "Return to Tiffany" tag with a very long chain. When I went out from it I wasn't satisfied yet so I heaeded to Henri Bendel, a very luxury shop you'll know about if you are a Gossip Girl viewer ;)...that place really has everything...luxury make up, bags, scarves, clothing, hair accessories...I bought something for my hair and also a scarf for me and also something to bring home for my mum and for my best friend. When I got out of it I went into Bergorf and Goodman and then to Saks, and I saw my hubby's face, he was feeling destroyed whilst I kept trying make up from Mac, Laura Mercier and Nars ! LOL ! Then we went back to the Hotel, where we took a few pics that you can see on the bottom of this post. I wish I could spend days like that one more often, hehehe ;-).

Cari lettori, quando ero a New York ho trascorso giorni interi girando per la città, guardando gli edifici, visitando musei, lasciando per uno degli ultimi giorni di vacanza lo shopping sfrenato. Ovviamente, uno dei posti che mi ero prefissa di visitare è il maxi store-quartier generale di Tiffany, sulla 5a Strada ! Il posto è meraviglioso, sei piani (beh, il sesto è per il servizio clienti). Li ho visitati tutti e più guardavo quei gioelli meravigliosi, più cresceva in me il desiderio di averli tutti, hihihi !. Il terzo piano era per i gioielli in argento 925, ed è il posto dove ho potuto fare degli acquisti, lol. Ho scelto un braccialetto meraviglioso, volevo che gli fossero attaccati (in modo permanente) dei ciondoli che mi ricordassero questa stupenda luna di miele e così ho scelto due lucchetti con le iniziali mie e del mio amore, un cuore classico ma più grande dell'usuale, la targhetta "5th Avenue" e una busta di Tiffany smaltata nel classico colore turchese. Il risultato per me è super carino ! Ho dovuto attendere fino al pomeriggio affinché il braccialetto venisse realizzato apponendo i charms in modo permanente. Ho acquistato anche un'altra chiave, più piccolina, col cuoricino turchese e poi il cuore extralarge della serie "Return to Tiffany" con maxi collana. Quando sono uscita da Tiffany non ero ancora completamente appagata e mi è bastato attraversare per entrare da Henri Bendel, un tempio del lusso conosciuto anche alle spettatrici di Gossip Girl...c'è di tutto in quel posto...make up di lusso, borse, gioielli, abiti, sciarpe, accessori per capelli...ho scelto degli accessori per capelli e anche un bel foulard per me e dei foulard per mia madre e per la mia migliore amica. Quando sono uscita sono andata da Bergdorf and Goodman e poi da Saks e ho visto il viso del mio maritino con un'espressione distrutta mentre io continuavo imperterrita a provare make up di Mac, Laura Mercier e Nars ! LOL ! Poi siamo tornati in hotel, dove sono ambientate alcune delle foto che trovate sotto. Vorrei trascorrere più spesso giornate di questo tipo, ahahah ! :-).

Memories of New York

Hi guys, I am back from New York city and I am still suffering from Jet Lag...I keep confusing breakfast time with lunch time and I don't feel sleepy at the right times, but it was all worth it ! I had such a fantastic time there and saw so many beautiful things that I wish this holiday never ended and I keep saying myself that I have to go back there as soon as possible ! :).
In this one and also in my next post I will show you a few pics from my holiday, in no significant order ! They all bring back great memories :).

Ciao a tutti, sono tornata da New York e sto ancora soffrendo un po' per il Jet Lag...continuo a confondere il momento di fare colazione con quello del pranzo e non ho sonno nei momenti giusti, ma ne valeva la pena ! Mi sono divertita tantissimo lì e ho visto tante cose belle, non volevo che questa vacanza finisse e ora continuo a ripetere a me stessa che devo tornarci al più presto possibile ! :).
In questo post e nel prossimo vi mostrerò un po' di foto scattate durante la mia permanenza a New York in ordine sparso, tutte rimandano a splendidi ricordi !.
