My own Parisian style

Why have I named this post "Parisian style" ? I don't know exactly, but probably it's because today, from my office room, for a minute I was totally daydreaming about a vacation in Paris and I think this simple outfit would be totally nice for a walk on the Rive Gauche, as a relaxed tourist !.
You had already seen this black and white peplum sweater in my post dedicated pied de poule trend, well, I decided to go for a simple and casual look when I finally got to wear it for the first time, matching jeans and a new pair of total black Lemaré wedge sneakers, same shape of the other ones I have.

Perché mai chiamare questo post "Parisian style" ? Non lo so esattamente, forse è perché oggi, dalla mia stanza in ufficio, per un attimo ho sognato ad occhi aperti di partire per una breve vacanza a Parigi e credo che questo semplice outfit sarebbe carino per una passeggiata sulla Rive Gauche, da turista in tutto relax !.
Avevate già visto una preview di questa maglia bianca e nera, con peplum, nel mio post dedicato al trend del pied de poule, e ho deciso di indossarla per la prima volta con un look casual e semplice, abbinandovi i jeans e un nuovo paio di sneakers con zeppa interna Lemaré, stavolta total black !.

The black leather shoulder bag is not new, actually I bought it many years ago from Mandarina Duck...I even forgot to have it, then when I found it again inside a box with other handbags I was so happy, because I think it's truly lovely and timeless !. You can see the details of the bag in the pic below.

La borsa a tracolla in pelle nera non è una new entry, al contrario, risale a diversi anni fa, l'avevo comprata dalla Mandarina Duck...mi ero persino dimenticata di averla e quando l'ho ritrovata in fondo ad uno scatolone dove giaceva in mezzo ad altre borse ne sono stata molto felice, perché la trovo adorabile e senza tempo !. Potete vederla meglio nella foto sottostante.

These shoes gave me addiction ! They are very comfy and for a person used to walk on high heels they give that bit of height that I miss when I am walking in sneakers and I have to say I am happy I also got them in total black because it's so easy to match them with most of my clothes. See them better below !.

Queste scarpe danno assuefazione ! Sono troppo comode e per una persona abituata a camminare sui tacchi alti danno quel po' di altezza che mi manca quando cammino con un paio di sneakers. Sono contenta di averle prese anche in total black perché in questo modo posso facilmente abbinarle. Guardatele in dettaglio nella foto sottostante !.

In these pics I am wearing a silver chain with extra large heart tag charm from Tiffany, a classic I never stop loving !. Bracelets are from Tiffany, Fope and the studded one is from Asos. The watch is Michael Kors and even tho I have a few watches, I keep wearing this one, I love it too much !.
Nail polish is from OPI...a friend told me I should stop it with all those dark nail polishes...maybe he's right but I have to confess I ended up buying a black Dior nail polish this afternoon (it's called DIVA)...if buying dark nail polishes is a crime, I plead guilty, just as guilty as I am of dreaming of a life in Paris or in New York !.

Nelle foto indosso una collana in argento con cuore extra large di Tiffany, un classico che non smette mai di piacermi !. I bracciali sono di Tiffany, di Fope e quello borchiato è di Asos. L'orologio è Michael Kors e sebbene abbia diversi orologi, continuo ad usare questo perché mi piace troppo !.
Lo smalto è di OPI...un amico mi ha detto che dovrei smetterla di usare tutti questi smalti scuri...forse ha ragione ma devo confessare che oggi pomeriggio ho comprato uno smalto di Dior di colore nero (si chiama DIVA)...se comprare smalti scuri è un crimine, mi dichiaro senza indugi colpevole, proprio quanto sono colpevole di sognare di vivere a Parigi o a New York !.

A good hair day is a sunny day !

Today's post is dedicated to something most of girls are obsessed about...I am talking about hair !. I don't know about you, but I am pretty obsessive when it comes to my hair...a good hair day can make me feel confident and secure and a bad hair day can turn everything into a nightmare, no matter how well I am dressed, I will keep feeling awkward until my hair is fixed again !. Images from fashion magazines, commercials show us girls with shiny locks, always in a good shape, tons of hair and volume, as if it was easy ! It's easy for a few lucky ones only...for the rest of us it's a war, a war we fight with brushes, hairspray, shampoos and lotions, hair curlers and straighteners...and even wigs !. Il post di oggi è dedicato a qualcosa da cui la maggior parte delle ragazze è ossessionata...sto parlando dei capelli ! Non so voi, ma io sono abbastanza ossessiva quando si tratta dei miei capelli...una buona piega mi fa sentire sicura di me e una giornata in cui i capelli non tengono la piega può tramutarsi in un incubo, non importa quanto bene mi sia vestita, continuerò a sentirmi in difetto fino a che non riuscirò a rimediare !. Immagini dalle riviste di moda, dalle pubblicità ci fanno vedere ragazze con ciocche lunghe e lucenti, sempre in piega, tanti capelli e tanto volume, come se fosse facile ! Purtroppo è facile solo per poche elette, per il resto di noi è una guerra che combattiamo con spazzole, lacca, shampoo e lozioni, arricciacapelli e piastre liscianti...e persino parrucche !. Direttamente dal mio profilo Pinterest e dalla mia bacheca dedicata alle pettinature, ecco qualche immagine di capelli di celebrities che preferisco...voi quale stile preferite ?.

I've been told that often, especially for movies, celebrities wear wigs. Wigs and extensions are very common and, especially when they are good quality, it's hard to spot them. Have you ever tried wigs from a professional wig shop ? I did once, I didn't buy one but I was fascinated by them. Changing our hairdo truly can make the difference, it can change us totally and for a person scared from drastic hair changes wearing a wig can surely be less traumatic !.
I suppose celebrities wear wigs also because their natural hair would be ruined by the dying, straightening and curling that they do if they wanted to achieve a great variety of styles. The wig-wearing trend nowadays is supported by Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Nicky Minaj, Lana del Rey and even Adele.

So che spesso, specialmente nei film per esigenze di copione e di cambiamenti repentini, le celebrities indossano delle parrucche. Sia le parrucche che le extensions sono ormai molto diffuse e, specialmente quando sono di ottima qualità, è difficile avvistarle. Avete mai provato una parrucca presa da un negozio specializzato ?.
Io una volta ne ho testate diverse e ne sono rimasta molto affascinata. Cambiare pettinatura, taglio e colore può veramente fare la differenza e cambiarci completamente e per una fifona come me, che raramente osa cambiare drasticamente stile per i capelli, provare una parrucca è stato meno traumatico !.
Suppongo che alcune celebrities indossino parrucche anche perché i loro capelli naturali sarebbero presto rovinati dalle numerose tinture, dalle piastre e dagli arricciacapelli. Il trend delle parrucche oggi è portato avanti da celebrities come Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Nicky Minaj, Lana del Rey e persino Adele.

Below you can see an old pic of me with straightened hair and after that, a pic from this summer, with more volume in my hair (needs blowdry and hairspray !). I totally prefer the one below now !.
I used to be obsessed with straight hair but decided to go for a more softly curled at the ends hairdo, also because thin hair and hair straightener together is not a good match at all ! Still now, the straightener is on my vanity table and in my suitcase wherever I go, also because humid weather is my enemy...it can turn my hairdo in a messy one ! But yet, maybe it's just cause the trend is big hair and it's growing on me, I'd go for a big wig to channel my inner Lana, LOL. What kind of hairdo would you like to try ? I am curious to know !.

Sotto potete vedere una mia vecchia foto con i capelli allisciati con la piastra e, dopo, una foto della scorsa estate, con più volume e una piega più "bombata" (fatta con spazzola, phon e la necessaria lacca !). Preferisco la seconda piega !.
Ero ossessionata dal liscio ma da un bel po' ho deciso di optare per una piega più morbida, con le punte un po' mosse, anche perché i capelli sottili e la piastra lisciante non sono una bella accoppiata ! Ancora adesso, la piastra è sempre sul mio tavolino e nella mia valigia ovunque vada, anche perché il tempo umido è un mio nemico giurato, può rovinarmi la piega in un attimo !. Comunque sia, forse perché adesso vanno di moda e mi piacciono sempre più, se dovessi comprarmi una parrucca opterei per una parrucca voluminosa per trovare la Lana che è dentro di me, LOL. Voi che tipo di capelli vorreste avere o provare ? Sono curiosa di saperlo !.
