Hey everyone :) How are you ? I have been sick for a few days with a cold, sneezing and coughing, so annoying !. Since I had a bit of time on my hands, I have finally created a Facebook page for this blog, so you can also follow on there to keep updated, if you're a facebook addicted !. Click on "I like" :)

Anyway, this post is to reveal the name of the lucky winner of Fashion and Cookies' first giveaway !.
I had fun organizing this giveaway and I am so happy that many of you (more than I expected, thanks !) joined. I have also learned a few things from my first giveaway...I had a hard time checking on all the comments - among them there were unrelated comments and I had to create another file to calculate all the right credits to each comment (according to the rules, leading to 525 admittable entries). In my next giveaway I am gonna try to use a form cause it would make it easier to check everyone follows all the rules and give the extra points easily !.

Ciao a tutti ! Come state ? Io insomma, sono stata meglio...sono reduce da qualche giorno a casa con un forte raffreddore, tosse...sicuramente non piacevole !. Siccome ho avuto un po' di tempo, tra le altre cose ho finalmente creato una pagina Facebook per questo blog, in modo da permettere ai facebook addicted di tenersi aggiornati anche tramite il famoso social network. Comunque...questo post è per rivelare il nome della fortunata la vincitrice del primo Giveaway di Fashion and Cookies !. Devo dire che mi sono divertita ad organizzare il giveaway e sono contenta che abbiate partecipato in tanti. Ho anche imparato un po' di cose...ho fatto davvero fatica a controllare tutti i commenti perché tra di essi vi erano commenti non inerenti il giveaway, ho dovuto creare un file (arrivando a 525 entries ammissibili) per calibrare i punteggi e dare il giusto peso in proporzione alle regole.
Nel prossimo giveaway cercherà di usare un form per i commenti per rendere più facile questa parte.

Ten things I've learned from my fashion blog

Hey guys ! I'd like to share with you ten things - not really serious - I've learned from having a fashion blog. Read on and tell me what you think !.

1) Any corner of your town/the world, even the ugliest one, can be a perfect background to shoot an outfit...just find a tree, a road, an old car or anything that catches your attention
2) You don't have to feel weird if you're wearing sunglasses after the sunset and you're not a Vampire, not really. LOL
3) If you're wearing very clashing colors, you can always tell as an excuse that I you're experimenting with a new color block trend!
4) When pictures don't come out as you would have liked to and you threaten to fire your photographer, take a deep breath and remember it's your fiancé/husband ! LOL
5) You suffer from cold but if you are shooting an outfit you become unsensitive to cold wind and all you can think about is "let's do this quick" (then you get a cold like me, cough cough...;-))
6)Before going out, instead of worrying about getting your car keys with you, you better worry about having charged your camera battery !
7) Your family learns about your new purchases by looking at your outfits on the blog
8) You get indifferent at people staring at you when you're shooting pics in the middle of nowhere
9)Jeffrey Campbell shoes can be worn in the Office ! Even with a severe tailleur ;-)
10)If you need to know something very quickly, forget the phone/sms thing...use twitter ! My twitterfriends rule :-)...by the way, what do you think about following me on Twitter by clicking on the button here below ? ;-)

Ciao a tutti ! Vorrei condividere con voi dieci cose - non necessariamente serie - che ho imparato dall'avere un fashion blog. Leggete e ditemi la vostra !.

1) Qualsiasi angolo della vostra città/del mondo, anche il più brutto, può diventare il perfetto sfondo per foto di outfit...trovate un albero, una strada, una vecchia macchina o qualsiasi cosa possa attirare la vostra attenzione
2) Non dovete sentirvi strani a scattare foto in occhiali da sole al tramonto, sebbene non siate vampiri, LOL
3) Se state indossando colori contrastanti e abbinati male, potete sempre usare la scusa del color block !
4) Quando le foto scattate non escono come le avreste volute e minacciate di licenziare il fotografo, fate un respiro profondo e ricordate che si tratta del vostro fidanzato/vostro marito !
5) Sebbene soffriate il freddo nel momento in cui vi stanno fotografando diventerete insensibili al vento e tutto ciò che riuscirete a pensare è "facciamolo in fretta" ! (E poi finirete per raffreddarvi, come me...cough cough !)
6) Prima di uscire, anziché preoccuparvi di prendere le chiavi dell'auto, preoccupatevi del fatto che la batteria della vostra fotocameria sia carica...
7) La vostra famiglia viene a conoscenza dei vostri ultimi acquisti guardandoli sul blog
8) Diventate indifferenti alle persone che vi fissano mentre vi fate fotografare nel mezzo del nulla
9) Le scarpe di Jeffrey Campbell possono essere adatte all'ufficio ! Anche con un serio tailleur ;-)
10) Se avete bisogno di sapere qualcosa in fretta, dimenticate il telefono/sms...usate Twitter ! I miei twitamici sono eccezionali...anzi, se volete seguitemi su twitter cliccando sul bottone che trovate sotto ;-)

5 reasons why designer bags win over designer clothes

Shopping means fun and it also means investment. We all wish we could buy anything we wanted to and we'd all go for the best, but what if we had to choose ?. I am a fan of designer bags and if I have to go on the cheap I will always choose cheap dresses over cheap bags. The "right bag" - like the Balenciaga I am sporting on these pics - can give the right allure to any outfit I think !.
Here's my five points theory on why buying expensive bags is better than buying expensive clothes.

1) An overworn luxury bag becomes luxury vintage...many overworn clothes get holes and become just...too old to wear !
2) If you run out of money, it's easier to sell off a luxury bag than worn clothing ;)
3) If you don't have much money, you can only have one statement bag...but even if it was VERY well tailored, could you live with only ONE dress ?
4) Our bodies change with time...we can get thinner or fatter or just a skirt can get too short and not suitable for our age. A bag will ALWAYS suit us !
5) A nice dress can't hide some belly fat but a beautiful large bag on your arm sure can ! LOL

Shopping vuole dire divertimento ma anche investimento. Tutti noi vorremmo poter comprare qualunque cosa ci piaccia senza badare al prezzo, ma se dovessimo scegliere ?. Dovendo scegliere, tra una borsa firmata ed un abito di design preferirò sempre la borsa. Infatti, secondo me, la "borsa giusta" - come la Balenciaga di queste foto - può dare una marcia in più a tutto l'insieme !.
E quì spiego la mia teoria in cinque semplici ma essenziali punti :-)

1) Una borsa molto usata ma di lusso diventa vintage...abiti molto usati diventeranno lisi e sembreranno semplicemente...vecchi !
2) Se finite i soldi, è più facile rivendere una borsa di lusso che abiti usati ;)
3) Se non avete molto denaro a disposizione, potete avere una sola borsa di un certo livello...anche se fosse cucito magistralmente, potreste resistere con UN solo abito ?
4) Il nostro corpo cambia con il tempo...possiamo dimagrire o ingrassare e allora gli abiti ci staranno male oppure non saranno più appropriati all'età, tipo gonna troppo corta...Una borsa invece ci starà SEMPRE bene !
5) Un bel vestito non riuscirà a nascondere un po' di pancetta ma una bella borsa portata al braccio, soprattutto se capiente...sì ! ;-)
