Graffiti dress

I have always been pretty fascinated by large graffiti walls and street art in general, so I couldn't help adding this midi bodycon dress featuring a graffiti print to my not really plain and boring closet. I love its vibrant colors and it puts me in a summer holiday mood straight away. I should be banned from Asos website, since everytime I browse it, I end up buying something, I buy so often that the courier and I became good friends, LOL !

Sono sempre stata molto affascinata dai muri pieni di graffiti e dall'arte di strada in generale, così non ho potuto fare a meno di accogliere questo abito aderente di media lunghezza con la stampa graffiti nel mio sicuramente non sobrio o noioso guardaroba. Mi piacciono i suoi colori vividi e mi fa entrare subito in modalità vacanze estive. Dovrei essere bannata da Asos, ogni volta che visito il sito finisco per comprare qualcosa e compro così spesso che ormai io e il corriere abbiamo fatto amicizia, LOL !.

Hello, how are you doing all ? I am back from the mountains, these few days were relaxing and fun. I am ready to show you a new outfit, this time I was feeling "bon ton", I suppose it's an effect of this yellow dress ;). I decided to match this "good girl" dress to my Louis Vuitton Speedy 25 bag, I haven't been wearing it for such a long time !.

Ciao, come state ? Io sono tornata dalla montagna dopo qualche giorno di relax e divertimento e sono pronta per mostrarvi un nuovo outfit, questa volta molto "bon ton", con questo abitino giallo ;). Ho deciso di abbinare a questo abitino da "brava ragazza" la mia Louis Vuitton Speedy 25, che non portavo con me da tanto tempo !.

How are you doing ? It's been a very busy week for me and I am just so happy we're almost at the weekend ! It's time for a new outfit post, featuring a Marc by Marc Jacobs olive green wool dress that I bought some time ago. I love the design of the collar, of the shoulders, and the shirt cut and the olive green color !.
You can also see my crazy fold over Asos boots again, I love them more and more also because they are different, because buying them has been a matter of impulse and an act of courage, because they are the kind of shoes you either love or hate.

Come state ? Questa è stata una settimana molto impegnativa per me, fino ad ora, e sono felice che siamo arrivati quasi al fine settimana ! E' tempo di un nuovo post outfit, con un abito in lana di Marc by Marc Jacobs comprato un po' di tempo fa. Mi piacciono molto il taglio del collo, delle spalle e il taglio "a camicia" di questo abitino e il suo colore verde oliva !.
Potete, inoltre, rivedere i miei pazzi stivali di Asos, stivali che amo sempre più proprio perché sono diversi dal solito, perché comprarli è stata una scelta coraggiosa, in quanto sono il tipo di calzature che si amano o si odiano, senza vie di mezzo !.

I decided to go for olive green opaque tights that also helped me to keep warm, and went for a light woolen top under the dress. I matched my burgundy "Too hot to handle" Marc by Marc Jacobs tote and a burgundy chain necklace from Byba bijoux. I like the result because the colors look good together.
I think this dress would look good with a pair of flats (not my usual style, but they would look nice), with stiletto pumps (gotta try it), with biker boots or even UGGs. What kind of shoes would you choose ?.

Ho deciso di optare per calze coprenti dello stesso colore dell'abito, verde oliva, che mi hanno anche aiutata a mantenermi al caldo, e ho indossato un top in lana leggero sotto all'abito. Ho abbinato la tote bordeaux "Too hot to handle" di Marc by Marc Jacobs ed una collana a catena sempre in bordeaux di Byba bijoux. Mi piace il risultato ottenuto per via dell'insieme dei colori. Questo abito starebbe bene anche con con un paio di ballerine (non il mio stile, ma ci starebbero bene), con un paio di pumps dal tacco a spillo (da provare), con biker boots, con gli UGG. Voi con cosa lo abbinereste ?.

The highlights of my day was going to the movies to watch "Anna Karenina". I loved that movie, Keira Knightley was amazing in it and the director did a very good job. I love going to the movies so much, it relaxes me a lot. I prefer watching tv series at home, but when it comes to movies I love going out to the movies. What about you ?.

Il momento migliore della mia giornata è stato andarmene al cinema a vedere "Anna Karenina". Mi è piaciuto molto, Keira Knightley è stata bravissima e il regista ha fatto un ottimo lavoro. Mi piace molto andare al cinema, mi rilassa. Preferisco stare a casa a guardare le serie tv, ma quando si tratta di film mi piace "gustarmeli" davanti al grande schermo del cinema. Che mi dite di voi ?.

Front pockets dress

A cute dress is the easiest way to dress up...no skirt and shirt to match, just a bunch of accessories and we're ready to go out !...This knitted 60s style dress I had the luck to find in a boutique has front pockets, a turtleneck and a pop of one of my fave colors: purple !. The brand is called "handmade".

Un bell'abitino è un modo facile e veloce di vestirsi...nessuna gonna e camicia da abbinare, basta qualche accessorio giusto e siamo pronte ad uscire !...Questo abito in pura lana anni '60 che ho avuto la fortuna di trovare in una boutique ha due tasche frontali, collo alto e unisce al nero un tocco di un colore che amo: il viola !. Il brand si chiama "handmade".

I matched the dress with my Gaia d'Este suede and leather boots you had already seen and just to add some more color, I opted for my blue cobalt Balenciaga City bag. I love this bag so much and soon or later I'd love to give it a "sister"...maybe in coral pink ! ;-).

Ho abbinato all'abito i miei stivali in camoscio e pelle di Gaia d'Este che vi avevo già mostrato e, proprio per aggiungere un altro tocco di colore, ho optato per la Balenciaga City in blu cobalto, alla quale prima o poi vorrei dare una "sorellina"...magari in rosa corallo ! ;-).

I have a Lancome lipstick that is as purple as this dress, so I had the chance to wear it. It's a simple outfit and I do not have much to add, but sometimes leaving it simple is truly the best thing (not all the time, sometimes I love to exceed !).
Speaking about simple things, I (finally) worked a bit on the layout of this blog and now it loads faster and finally, the most important thing, threaded comments DO work, this means I can easily reply to your questions directly on the blog ! I was so annoyed that with my custom made layout threaded comments didn't work, they are important to communicate with you !.

Ho un rossetto di Lancome dello stesso viola, per cui ho pensato di metterlo con questo abito. E' un outfit semplice e non ho molto da aggiungere, ma a volte la semplicità è la miglior cosa - per me non sempre, in quanto mi piacciono anche look più "complicati" ;-).
A proposito di semplicità, finalmente ho lavorato un po' sul layout del blog e ora si carica più rapidamente e, inoltre, la cosa più importante, le risposte dirette sotto ogni commento funzionano, il che significa che posso facilmente rispondere alle vostre domande direttamente sul blog ! Ero così frustrata perché il mio precedente layout non consentiva una cosa tanto semplice ma essenziale per comunicare meglio con voi !.

A grey jumper dress

After a casual outfit, here we are with a more sophisticated yet simple one, featuring a grey wool jumper dress from Guess, worn with a black cardigan and...a very dark lipstick !. Yes, it's a sleeveless dress...apparently it's been very hard for me to find winter dresses with sleeves, this year ! We took the pics without me totally wearing the cardigan to show the bodycon dress in detail.
I admit I would have appreciated a pair of sleeves attached to this lovely dress, but maybe it's because of the economical crisis striking all over the world, no sleeves = less wool and therefore, less costs to produce the dress ! Could this be or am I just overanalyzing ? ;-)

Dopo un outfit molto casual, eccoci quì un look più sofisticato ma semplice, con un abito in lana di Guess indossato con un cardigan nero e...un rossetto molto scuro !. Sì, l'abito non ha le maniche...per questo inverno è stata una vera impresa trovarne con le maniche ! Abbiamo scattato queste foto con il cardigan sulle spalle per mostrare meglio i dettagli dell'abito, che segue molto la linea del corpo.
Non nascondo che avrei apprezzato un paio di maniche incluse, ma forse tutto cià accade a causa della crisi economica che imperversa nel mondo...niente maniche = meno lana e, pertanto, minori costi di produzione per l'abito ! Può essere o sto solo analizzando troppo la cosa ? :-)

The cardigan is from Maison Scotch, I have a similar one in camouflage print bought a few months ago ! I am a lover of cardigans in every season, I keep collecting them because they are so useful !. The shoes are the Louboutin Pigalle lookalikes you had already seen, and the clutch is from Zara. see the little set I made below !.

Il cardigan è di Maison Scotch, della stessa linea di un altro cardigan camouflage comprato qualche mese fa ! Sono una fan dei cardigan, ne ho tanti e per diverse stagioni, sono veramente comodi !. Le scarpe sono quelle simil-Pigalle di Louboutin che avevate già visto, e la clutch è di Zara. Ho preparato un piccolo set, nell'immagine sottostante !.

What are you up to in these days ? I have been super busy at work, I am very tired and I have really difficulties at waking up in the morning (people following me on Twitter know it so well, LOL !).
In my (little) spare time, I have been to the cinema a few times and I am so happy I went to see "Les Miserables", I liked it SO much, I think I am gonna see it another time ! Have you seen it ? I am a big fan of musicals in general and this one went beyond my expectations :-).
I have also succeeded in doing a little shopping and I can only tell the black and white stripes trend has already got me ;-).

Che avete fatto in questi giorni ? Io sono stata super occupata al lavoro, sono abbastanza stanca e ho difficoltà nell'alzarmi al mattino (e chi mi segue su Twitter lo sa bene, ahah !). Nel mio (poco) tempo libero, sono stata al cinema diverse volte e, tra i vari film, sono molto contenta di aver visto "Les Miserables", mi è piaciuto tantissimo, così tanto che credo andrò a vederlo un'altra volta ! Voi lo avete visto ? Sono una grande fan dei musical e questo è andato oltre le mie aspettative :-).
Sono anche riuscita a fare un po' di shopping e per ora posso solo dirvi che la moda delle righe bianche e nere mi ha già conquistata ;-).

Hand painted dress: I love bags !

My bag wishlist is truly infinite and it keeps growing. As a true bagaholic, I think I have found the perfect dress ! This dress featuring handbags is hand painted and, therefore, unique...when I saw it in a lovely concept store, I couldn't leave without it !.

La mia wishlist in fatto di borse è veramente infinita e continua a crescere. Da appassionata di borse, credo di aver trovato l'abito perfetto ! Questo vestito aderente raffigurante tante borse è dipinto a mano ed è un pezzo unico...quando l'ho adocchiato in un adorabile concept store, non ho potuto lasciarlo lì !.

I wore the dress with a crossbody Hoss Intropia leather bag (see it better in the pic underneath).
At my feet, I had a pair of high stiletto pumps from Cesare Paciotti. The heels are metallic and I think it could be classified as weapon :-).
After all, 99% of my Paciotti shoes are stilettoes...and in this past year my collection kept growing. One of the good things about this brand is that you can actually walk in those shoes without feeling an escruciating pain in your feet ! Otherwise I would have to look for http://medicalfootsolutions.com/ !

Ho indossato questo abito con una tracollina di Hoss Intropia in pelle e cavallino (si vede meglio nella foto sottostante).
Ai piedi, portavo un paio di pumps di Cesare Paciotti dal tacco a spillo alto e...di metallo...credo che quel tacco potrebbe tranquillamente essere classificato come arma letale ! :-).
Dopotutto, il 99% delle scarpe Paciotti che possiedo hanno il tacco a spillo...e in questo ultimo anno la mia collezione è cresciuta. La cosa che mi fa amare questo brand è che con queste scarpe si può camminare senza essere assalite da un dolore lancinante ai piedi !.

I was wearing a H&M (old) necklace and I decided to keep my hair tied, for a change. Lipstick was dark, a mixture of Estée Lauder and Urban Decay, I am getting so used to these dark colors that I am wearing them more and more !.

Al collo portavo una collana di H&M e ho deciso di tenere i capelli legati, per cambiare un po'. Il rossetto era scuro, ottenuto mixandone uno mat di Estée Lauder ed una matita di Urban Decay, ormai mi ci sto abituando sempre più e porto spessissimo tinte scure !.

I am really glad when I find something original and I know it's a handmade work ! This dress really puts me in a good mood, it's a nice dress to wear in this period of the year, when Christmas holidays are already a memory and we have a couple of cold months ahead us.
I am fighting the winter blues with some shopping, movies and tv series, and finally tomorrow I will be back to the gym ! What about you, do you like this time of the year ?.

Sono davvero contenta quando trovo qualcosa di originale e frutto di lavoro artigianale ! Questo abito mi mette di buon umore, è perfetto da indossare in un periodo come questo, quando le vacanze natalizie sono ormai già un ricordo e abbiamo un paio di mesi freddi davanti a noi.
Sto combattendo la malinconia tipica di questo periodo con dello shopping, il cinema e le serie tv, e domani ricomincio seriamente la palestra ! Che mi dite di voi, vi piace questo periodo ?.
