Happy fifth birthday to my fashion blog ! A pink outfit is cozy and cute to celebrate the birthday of Fashion and Cookies: a first shy post written on January 27th, 2011, when I had no idea my space on the web would keep growing. Since this blog is truly a reflection of who I am in everyday life, I won't be bragging about how we got the number of followers and visits has grown up with time, as the main thing that kept this blog going for all these years is that I haven't lost the passion to keep it up. Honestly, the main purpose of this fashion blog was the same in 2011 as it is now: sharing my looks, my wishlists and what I like with you out there, my everyday outfits, just like this one, featuring an oversize jacquard sweater from Max Mara, a pink beanie with a faux fur pom-pom, warm leggings and a pair of fringed boots from Le Silla.

Buon quinto compleanno al mio fashion blog ! Un outfit rosa, caldo e tenero, per festeggiare il compleanno di Fashion and Cookies: un primo, timido post scritto il 27 gennaio 2011, quando non avevo idea che il mio spazio sul web sarebbe durato così tanto. Invece, eccomi ancora quì, e dato che questo blog è davvero il riflesso di chi sono io nella vita di tutti i giorni, non mi starò a pavoneggiare parlando dell'aumento di follower o di visite nel tempo, perché il fattore che ha fatto durare il blog per tutti questi anni è che non ho perso la passione di mantenerlo. Inoltre, lo scopo principale di questo fashion blog non è cambiato granché dal 2011 ad oggi: condividere i miei look, le mie wishlist e ciò che mi piace comprare con voi, i miei outfit di tutti i giorni, proprio come questo di oggi, che mi vede con un maglione jacquard oversize di Max Mara, un cappellino beanie rosa con pom-pon in ecopelliccia, caldi leggings e un paio di stivali con frange di Le Silla.

Hey everyone, how are you doing ? It's time for the first outfit post for April, featuring one of my obsessions: a full midi skirt in scuba fabric. I can't help but love a skirt like that: whenever I am wearing one, I feel a bit like a princess, it has this bon ton and vintage allure that I love to soften with something more edgy, like a leather jacket. Scuba fabric is pretty thick, so it makes the skirt look fuller and the way the skirt moves when I walk makes me feel like dancing...or maybe is it just Springtime kicking in ?.

Ciao a tutti, come state ? E' finalmente il momento per un nuovo post outfit, il primo del mese di Aprile. Iniziamo con una delle mie ossessioni del momento: una gonna midi a ruota in tessuto scuba. Non posso non amare una gonna così, che mi fa sentire una principessa con il suo allure bon ton e vintage, e che amo mixare con qualcosa di più aggressivo come un giubbotto in pelle. 

Il tessuto scuba è piuttosto spesso, rendendo la gonna ancora più a ruota e "ricca", ed il modo in cui si muove quando cammino mi fa venire voglia di ballare...o forse è solo la Primavera ?.

I had these pics in my pink hard disk still from my Easter vacation spent in Sorrento, the place where we took them is very dear to me because it's the same place hubby and I got married in  July 2011, the Cloister of San Francesco, a very well preserved medieval cloister in town centre. Everytime I go back there, sweet memories of that day strike me !.
This outfit is featuring one of the most versatile and useful pieces in a wardrobe, to my opinion: a denim shirt. The denim shirt trend is pretty hot right now, but I have always had a few in my closet, I love such shirts and this is the perfect time of the year to wear them !.

Queste foto, ancora nel mio hard disk rigorosamente rosa, attendevano di essere postate dalle mie vacanze pasquali a Sorrento; sono state scattate in un luogo a me particolarmente caro, perché è dove mi sono sposata, a luglio 2011, il Chiostro di San Francesco, un Chiostro di origine medioevale molto ben conservato, nel centro della cittadina. Ogni volta che ritorno in quel luogo, dolci ricordi invadono la mia mente ed il mio cuore !.
Questo look si basa su uno dei capi più versatili e utili, secondo me: la camicia di jeans. Il trend della camicia in denim è molto attuale, ma io ne ho sempre avute diverse nel mio armadio, mi piacciono molto e questo, dopotutto, è il periodo migliore dell'anno per indossarne una !.

Black and white, stripes and a pop of fuchsia

Here we are with a new outfit post ! Lately I've been really enjoying sporting casual (and even more "daring") looks, this time for an afternoon walk on the beach promenade, I went back to a more "classic" black and white look with a touch of fuchsia. 

The strangest detail are the tights - when these pics were taken, it wasn't yet the case to bare my legs (the air was too chilly for me for a cold feeling fashion blogger like me) and I opted for black tights with tiny holes in them, that in the pics look like polka dots but they are meant to make my legs...breathing ! ;-).

Eccoci con un nuovo post outfit ! Dopo una serie di looks più audaci e anche casual, per una passeggiata pomeridiana sul lungomare, stavolta ho optato per una mise più "classica", un look bianco e nero con un tocco di fucsia.

Il dettaglio più particolare sono le calze - quando queste foto sono state scattate, non era ancora tempo di andare in giro a gambe nude (l'arietta era troppo fresca per una fashion blogger freddolosa come me), così ho scelto questi collant neri bucherellati. Quelli che in foto sembrano pois sono, in realtà, piccoli buchi per...l'aerazione ! :-).

Vintage style: flower dress and cat eye sunglasses !

As most of you know already, I like to change style and play with fashion. This time I got to wear a dress that caught my attention as soon as I saw it, because I fell in love with the floral print, the fall colors and its vintage style. I think I found a great chance to wear my new Dolce and Gabbana Sunglasses, courtesy of SunglassesShop...the cat eye shape and brown color add another vintage touch to the whole outfit, don't you think so ?.

Come molti di voi già sapranno, mi piace cambiare spesso stile e giocare con la moda. Questa volta ho indossato un abito che mi ha colpita non appena visto perché mi sono innamorata della sua stampa floreale, dei colori autunnali e del suo stile vintage.

I love wearing sunglasses, I wear them with almost all my outfits because that's the way I am - I think sunglasses are part of the outfit, plus I hate it when I have to look towards the sun without my shades on, I have a hard time when it happens !.
Plus let's say it, a nice pair of sunglasses make us look and feel more glamorous ! ;).
I got these sunglasses a few days ago and I am sure I am gonna use them a lot, cause their shape is classical yet very trendy, and I think they complement my oval pretty well.

I decided to wear my Rochas shoes you had already seen, with my Juicy Couture bag, same color as the soft leather sash I tied to my waistline.
I went for burgundy tights and turtleneck to put the color of the dress in evidence and a flower necklace from Tarina Tarantino. The large cardigan you see in the pics is from Romwe, I love it !. The bright red lipstick I am wearing in the pics is from Nouba, a brand that is quite hard for me to find in the shops...I am sure I am gonna be sad when it finishes ! Am I the only one going all sad when something she's using is almost over, thinking that there's no way to get a new identical one ?.

Ho deciso di indossare le mie scarpe Rochas che avevate già visto con la mia borsa di Juicy Couture, dello stesso colore della fusciacca in pelle morbida che ho legato in vita.
Ho optato per calze e collo alto vinaccio per esaltare il colore dell'abito e indossato una collana di Tarina Tarantino.
Il cardigan oversize è di Romwe, lo adoro !. Il rossetto rosso che porto in foto è di Nouba, adoro i colori di questo brand che è molto difficile da reperire per me...infatti credo proprio che sarò triste quando finirà ! Sono l'unica che va in paranoia prima che le cose che ama usare finiscano, al pensiero di non avere subito un ricambio ?.

Street style: striped dress !

After many black outfits, it's time for some color with this black and cobalt blue bodycon striped dress, with pics taken in a very colored street !.
I was so happy when I found this striped dress at Asos sales so I could buy it with a discount, I had already seen it in a shop but didn't buy it immediately, and when I saw the price was much cheaper than in the shop I was really pleased !.
You have to know I am not really Miss bargain, usually I am an impulsive shopper and I am not good at asking for a discount nor in waiting for the sales to get what I want...therefore, when I succeed in saving some money, I feel really badass, LOL ! :-).

Dopo diversi outfits neri, è tempo di un po' di colore con questo abito aderente a maxi righe nere e blu cobalto, con foto scattate in una strada a sua volta piena di...colori !.
Sono stata così felice quando ho trovato questo abito a righe a sconto su Asos perché lo avevo già adocchiato e provato in un negozio ma non l'avevo comprato, così per una volta sono riuscita a pagarlo molto meno ! Dovete sapere che di solito non sono proprio un'affarista...siccome compro impulsivamente, non riesco a chiedere sconti o ad aspettare il momento dei saldi, per cui nelle rare volte in cui risparmio qualcosa mi sento realizzata ! ;-).

This dress is from the brand French Connection, I usually like their dresses, most of them are bodycon. This one has very short sleeves and since the weather wasn't warm, I kept my black cardigan on. This cardigan is a dear friend of mine...I wear it so much and I also have another grey one !.

Questo abito è del brand French Connection, di solito mi piacciono molto i vestiti di questo marchio, molti sono aderenti. Avendo le maniche molto corte ed essendo il tempo abbastanza freddino, ho tenuto su il cardigan nero. Questo cardigan è un mio caro "amico"...lo indosso spesso e ne ho anche uno identico di colore grigio !.

I decided to wear a Zara studded clutch you had already seen and as shoes I went for my Cesare Paciotti ankle boots. Next time I'd like to wear this dress with biker boots.
Opaque tights are my drug during winter...and I like to use colored ones, in spite of using black ones most of the times ! This time I thought I'd match royal blue tights to spice up the outfit. Do you use colored tights as well ?.

Come borsa ho deciso di optare per la clutch borchiata di Zara che avevate già visto e come scarpe ho scelto i tronchetti di Cesare Paciotti. La prossima volta proverò ad indossare questo abito con i bikers.
Le calze coprenti sono la mia droga per l'inverno...sebbene la maggior parte delle volte le indossi nere, questa volta ho optato per un blu cobalto per riprendere l'abito. Voi usate le calze colorate ?.

Lady in Mint

I am back home after my Easter holidays in Sorrento. The surprise I got in my Easter egg was so much, too much rain !. In one of the few moments of not rainy weather, I dared dressing like a Lady in mint, mixing some of the trends of the season: a peplum skirt from Zara, a lovely contrast collar shirt with dots from Romwe, mint colored tights and cobalt blue heels from Icone. I was in the mood for something different and bold !.

Sono tornata a casa dopo le vacanze di Pasqua trascorse a Sorrento. La sorpresa nel mio uovo di Pasqua è stata sicuramente tanta pioggia, troppa ! In uno dei rari momenti di non pioggia, ho osato un outfit da "Signora in menta", mixando alcuni dei trend di stagione: una gonna peplo di Zara, una adorabile camicia dal colletto a contrasto di Romwe, calze color menta e pumps color blu cobalto di Icone. Ero dell'umore giusto per qualcosa di diverso e particolare !.

I had bought that cute bag from Zara a while ago, but didn't use it yet. You can wear it as a clutch or use the chain as a shoulder bag. I wish I could learn to bring less things with me in my bag so that I could use smaller bags more often, instead I am a kind of a control freak that needs everything handy !.
After all, if I cannot influence the weather forecast and stop the rain, I can at least illude myself to have full control by stuffing my handbag !.
I am really in love with this Zara peplum skirt and you'll surely see me wearing it also with a more "normal" outfit, I was thinking about a white shirt, how would you style it ?.

Avevo comprato questa borsetta da Zara un po' di tempo fa ma non l'avevo ancora usata. Si può indossare come clutch o usare la catenella per tenerla a spalla. Vorrei tanto imparare a portare meno cose con me nelle mie borse per poter usare più spesso borse piccole, invece sono una maniaca del controllo che deve sempre avere tutto a portata di mano !.
Dopotutto, se non posso controllare il meteo e impedire di piovere, posso almeno illudermi di avere il pieno controllo riempiendo la borsa !.
Mi piace molto questa gonna peplum di Zara e mi vedrete sicuramente indossarla anche con un abbinamento più "normale", stavo pensando ad una camicia bianca, voi come la abbinereste ?.

Color block in the Mist

Having a walk in a sunny afternoon is surely one of the things I like the most...so you can imagine my surprise when it went all foggy around me that you could barely see anything ! Well, it wasn't hard to see me even in the Mist, since I had chosen a color block outfit ;-).

Passeggiare in un bel pomeriggio soleggiato è una delle attività che preferisco...potete quindi immaginare la mia sorpresa quando è arrivata una fitta nebbia e la visibilità era ridottissima ! Beh, non era difficile vedere me neanche nella nebbia, grazie all'outfit color block che avevo scelto ;-)

I opted for colored tights (Calzedonia) with this lovely Diane Von Furstenberg dress, the color of the dress is a sort of lime green and it wasn't very easy to match with another color. I could have gone for black tights and pull but I thought a cobalt blue match would be more original and fun :-) and I had this nice Zara turtleneck that was perfect with the tights !. My beloved blue Balenciaga and the Icone ankle boots you had already seen previously completed the "fog-proof" look.
Mind you that my hair had a lot of volume and with all this humid weather they lost it...I am always very hair concerned, I have tons of products at home to prevent them from going frizzy with humid seaside weather, do you also hate it or is it just me that hates it that much ?.

Ho optato per calze colorate di Calzedonia con questo adorabile abito di Diane Von Furstenberg dal colore verde lime, non facilmente abbinabile ad altri colori. Avrei potuto scegliere calze e pull neri ma ho pensato che un abbinamento con il blu cobalto sarebbe stato più originale e divertente :-) e poi avevo giusto questa maglia a collo alto di Zara, perfetta per l'occasione !. La mia adorata Balenciaga blu e gli stivaletti bicolore di Icone che avevate già visto in altre foto hanno completato il look "a prova di nebbia" :-).
La mia preoccupazione pricipale era per i capelli, con l'umidità perdono volume e si increspano, ho un sacco di prodotti a casa per prevenire l'effetto crespo tipico dei posti di mare, lo odio troppo e voi ?.

Talking about color block, I have to share with you something I saw in a local shop and was so tempted to get...a wonderful Marc Jacobs bag, this would match this outfit even better than my Balenciaga ! I am getting more and more bagaholic, I have to calm myself a bit, so I tried to convince myself I didn't need this bag in my life...but I am a very passionate girl and the more I think about this bag the more I feel I want it ! It's the Marc Jacobs' "Bob's Memphis Trip" satchel in color block (you can see two versions here...which one do you prefer ?). I love them both !. Who knows, maybe soon or later it will be added to my collection, for now it's officially on my wish list !.

Parlando del trend color block, devo condividere con voi una borsa che non riesco a togliermi dalla testa e che credo sarebbe stata ancora meglio con questo outfit...sto diventando sempre più fissata con le borse, mi devo dare una calmata, ho continuato a ripetermi che non ho bisogno anche di questa borsa nella mia vita ma più ci penso più la voglio ! Si tratta della Marc Jacobs "Bob's Memphis Trip" nelle doppie versioni di color block...quale preferite ? A me piacciono entrambe ! Non so se prima o poi riuscirò ad averla ma l'ho inserita ufficialmente nella mia wish-list ;-).
