Lo so, ho trascurato il blog! Mentre sono riuscita sempre a postare regolarmente su Instagram (a proposito, non dimenticatevi di seguirmi sul mio profilo Instagram) non ho aggiornato la mia casa sul web, ma sto per tornare con diverse novità, tra cui uno spazio dedicato ai brand che amo e che sono meno conosciuti. Inizio col presentarvi Velvet Phoebè, che firma questa deliziosa giacca a quadri con frange, che ho indossato in un outfit country-western chic. Sense of style change during the Pandemic

My sense of style changed during the Pandemic, but the good news is that we can have it all!

This year of Pandemic changed many habits of mine, and had a major impact on my way of dressing as well. I started to prefer comfortable clothes over fancy outfits, like most of people anyway, and I have found I love athleisure more than ever. I used to wear mostly leggings before, now I prefer joggers, just like the ones you see in these pics, from Femmeluxe. There are several ways to wear loungerwear sets or single joggers without looking shabby, especially if you pair them with cute sneakers and a stylish jacket. I have then found out I still love wearing me some bodycon midi dresses, but I prefer them with cowgirl boots. The lovely polka dot black and white midi dress looks great with a pair of red boots, doesn't it? I think this change of sense of style dued to the Pandemic is not bad news, for we can have it all, and enjoy different kind of looks, even things we didn't get to appreciate before.

Il mio senso dello stile è cambiato durante la Pandemia, ma la buona notizia è che possiamo avere tutto!

Questo anno di Pandemia ha cambiato molte mie abitudini e ha avuto anche un forte impatto sul mio modo di vestire e senso dello stile. Ho iniziato a preferire l'abbigliamento comodo agli outfit eleganti, come la maggior parte della gente, e ho scoperto di amare l'athleisure più di sempre. Però, mentre prima preferivo i leggings, ora uso di più i pantaloni jogger da tuta, come quelli che vedete nelle foto, di Femmeluxe. Ci sono diversi modi di indossare sia set tuta coordinati che jogger senza sembrare sciatte, specialmente se si abbinano a graziose sneakers ed a una giacca stilosa. Ho scoperto che mi piace ancora indossare gli abiti aderenti, ma li preferisco con gli stivali da cowgirl rispetto alle scarpe col tacco. Questo adorabile abito midi a pois bianco e nero sta benissimo con un paio di stivali rossi, vero? Credo che questo cambiamento del senso dello stile dovuto alla Pandemia non sia un fatto negativo, possiamo avere tutto e goderci diversi tipi di look, anche cose che non abbiamo apprezzato prima d'ora.

An ethnic print cardigan and my new Ariat boots are both great for a cozy and comfy western style outfit. I was excited to try the famous Ariat boots; Ariat is a very popular brand in the USA, it has a long history of producing some of the most technologically innovative footwear for internationally known equestrian athletes. This is the first pair I own and I went for this Heritage Elastic calf western boot. I wanted something both simple and wearable and for a change I didn't go for a snip toe, these boots have a sligthly oval toe. The western stitching in a rust color is adorable and the leather is very supple and smooth. Comfy, sturdy, so far I am loving my first pair...and I know it won't be the last!. I have slim calves but these ones have elastic panels so that they can adapt even to bigger calves, so if you have problems these ones are also for you! So comfy and easy to pull in.

Un cardigan a stampa etnica e i miei nuovi stivali Ariat sono entrambi perfetti per un outfit western e comodo. Non vedevo l'ora di provare i famosi stivali Ariat; Ariat è un brand molto popolare negli USA, ha una lunga storia nel produrre calzature tecnologicamente avanzate anche per gli sport equestri. Questo è il mio primo paio e ho scelto questo stivale Heritage Elastic calf western boot. Volevo qualcosa che fosse sia semplice e portabile e per cambiare non ho scelto uno stivale a punta, questi hanno una punta ovale. Il ricamo western in color ruggine è adorabile e la pelle è molto morbida e liscia. Sono comodi, solidi, li sto amando...e so già che non saranno il mio unico paio!. Io ho polpacci snelli ma se avete problemi con gli stivali, questi sono in pelle elastica quindi si adattano anche a chi ha polpacci più importanti. Ve li consiglio! Comodi e facili da indossare.

How to style a denim dress for Fall? As a western style blogger, it has been easy for me to wear my denim dress with a new pair of cowgirl boots from Old Gringo. I am loving these Chatham boots, with their turquoise western style stitching over a brown chocolate leather they are easy to match to basically anything! With this warm weather I was able to wear them on naked legs (of course, boot socks inside). An easy and stylish feminine look for daytime, with the add of my Gucci Ophidia hobo bag.

Come abbinare un abito in denim per l'autunno? Da blogger western style quale sono, è stato facile per  me indossare questo abito in denim con un nuovo paio di stivali da cowgirl di Old Gringo. Adoro questi stivali Chatham, con il loro ricamo turchese in stile western su pelle color cioccolato sono facilissimi da abbinare a qualsiasi cosa! Con questo tempo ancora caldo ho potuto indossarli su gambe nude (ovviamente, all'intero degli stivali porto i calzini appositi). Un look facile e femminile per il giorno, con l'aggiunta della mia hobo bag Ophidia di Gucci.

I fell totally in love with this black boater hat with golden conchos, it's perfect for my rockstar style outfits, for my western style ones but it's gonna look great also on a simple black coat this winter. In this cowgirl look, I styled it on a white top, ripped Levi's 501 as shorts and a pair of fun, eyecatching cowgirl boots.

Mi sono completamente innamorata di questo cappello da barcaiolo nero con applicazioni dorate, è perfetto per i miei outfit da rockstar, per quelli più western ma starà benissimo anche su un semplice cappotto nero questo inverno. In questo look da cowgirl, l'ho abbinato a top bianco, pantaloncini creati da Levi's 501 e un paio di simpaticamente vistosi stivali da cowgirl.

My favorite Sandro Paris dress of the season: pink, floral, hi-low, asymmetrical, ruffled...in a word: mine!

Some outfits are easier to compose, sometimes when you look at a dress - either online or from a window shop, you feel like shouting "this is SO mine!". Well, this is what happened with this Sandro  Paris dress. It had really everything to make me fall in love: a pink floral print, the hi-low and asymmetrical cut, a big ruffle and a wonderful viscose jacquard fabric. So, I made it mine in no time and here I am, happily wearing it with a pair of neutral blush pink Le Silla slingbacks and a cute small bag with the same pink color. It's by far my favorite dress of the season, and I can wear it daytime and also in the night.

Ci sono outfit che sono facili da creare, perché a volte quando si guarda un abito - che sia online o dalla vetrina di un negozio, viene da urlare "ma questo è così MIO!". Questo è ciò che è accaduto con questo abito di Sandro Paris. Aveva tutto per farmi innamorare perdutamente: una stampa floreale col rosa, il taglio asimmetrico più corto sul davanti, una grande balza e un meraviglioso tessuto in viscosa jacquard. Così, l'ho reso mio velocemente ed eccomi mentre lo indosso felice con ai piedi un paio di slingback Le Silla in un neutro rosa pallido, con una borsetta dello stesso colore. E' senza dubbio il mio abito preferito della stagione, da indossare sia di giorno che di sera.

A sunflower field and a new outfit with a maxi skirt, in a country mood! Well, how to wear a maxi skirt in Summer? I chose to do it "country style" of course, and I wore my pink maxi skirt with floral and cherry print with one of my favorite t-shirts of this season, from Golden Goose, featuring a country pin-up. The easiest and comfier way to wear a long skirt is, indeed, with a tee tucked in, just like I did! I added a pair of vintage cowgirl boots and a Bullhide cowgirl hat I like so much. First thing is be careful when you choose a maxi skirt: it has to fit you well, especially on the waistline, and be long without being the kind of skirt you trip in when you walk.

Un campo di girasoli e un nuovo outfit con una maxi gonna, con mood country! Beh, come indossare una maxi gonna in Estate? Ho scelto di farlo "country style"ovviamente, e ho indossato la mia maxi gonna rosa con stampa a fiori e ciliegie con una delle mie t-shirt preferite di quest'anno, di Golden Goose, raffigurante una country pin-up. Il modo più facile e comodo di portare una gonna lunga è, infatti, con una t-shirt infilata dentro, proprio come ho fatto io!. Ho abbinato un paio di stivali da cowgirl vintage e un cappello da cowgirl della Bullhide al quale sono molto affezionata. Innanzitutto, occorre essere attenti quando si sceglie una maxi gonna: deve essere della taglia giusta, specialmente nel punto vita, ed essere lunga ma non tanto da farvi inciampare quando camminate.

Questo tipo di abito ha uno stile che solitamente preferisco, è romantico e fresco, perfetto per una calda estate country!. After a long period of staying inside, I am back in the saddle and decided to go for a trip to one of my favorite places: the beach. I chose a very windy day, so we just went for a walk and enjoyed an almost empty place. I took my brand new beach towel with me, from australian brand Tesalate, in the print "Into the wild" that has an ethnic/western vibe, perfect for a country girl like me! The "Into the wild" beach towel in XL size matches my country-boho outfit quite well, don't you think? A maxi dress in paisley print, western belt and red cowgirl boots. 

Tesalate doesn't only offer a wide range of fantastic designs, their beach towels are really special, sand-free and loved by many, including fashionistas from all over the world! I was very excited to review it. I was immediately positively surprised with its softness and loved the double side, with my print of choice on one side and a black and white optical print on the other one.

Dopo un lungo periodo in cui sono uscita poco, sono tornata in sella e ho deciso di fare un giretto in uno dei miei posti preferiti: la spiaggia. Ho scelto una giornata molto ventosa, quindi abbiamo fatto una passeggiata e ci siamo goduti il luogo praticamente deserto. Ho portato con me il mio nuovo telo mare, del marchio austrialiano Tesalate, nella fantasia "Into the wild", nel formato XL, che ha una stampa etnica/western, perfetta per una country girl come me! La stampa "Into the wild" si abbina molto bene al mio outfit country-boho composto da maxi abito con fantasia paisley, cintura western e stivali rossi da cowgirl. 

Tesalate non offre solo un'ampia gamma di fantastici modelli, i teli mare di questo brand sono davvero particolari, a prova di sabbia e amati da molte persone, incluse le fashioniste di tutto il mondo, per cui ero molto curiosa e impaziente di poterlo testare. Sono stata subito positivamente impressionata dalla sua morbidezza e ho amato il doppio lato stampato, uno con la stampa da me scelta e l'altro con una fantasia optical in bianco e nero.

I didn't have the chance to wear this beautiful maxi dress with tigers pattern, so I went for a country chic look on my balcony. Isn't it lovely? My country obsession got even worse now that I am watching the entire Nashville tv serie on Amazon Prime Video (I know, I am late, I only watched the first season!). I had been searching for all the seasons and here in Italy it wasn't almost impossible to find them so I was so happy when I saw it available on Amazon Prime Video! I am hooked! Have you ever watched it?

We skipped a season here, and among the clothing I haven't worn during Quarantine lockdown there is my trench coat. A must have in any closet, a beige trench is a classic staple many of you will surely have already. Well, this one, from Maje, has never been been worn, I just removed the price tag and decided to wear it on my balcony. I look a bit like a special detective here or either like one of those exhibitionists sexual maniacs...two sides of my personality! Joking :-)

Un must have in qualsiasi guardaroba, un trench beige è un capo classico che molte di voi avranno già. Questo, di Maje, non è mai stato indossato, ho solo rimosso il cartellino e ho deciso di indossarlo sul mio balcone. A suede fringe jacket and a western shirt in my last outfit before the Coronavirus lockdown. These pics are from the beginning of March, so about a week before lockdown. It feels like ages ago. I have been struggling to adapt to a new daytime routine, and especially in the first week I was so anxious and nervous that it was hard for me to keep posting or even doing the usual stuff. Now it's getting better even tho Italy is really under major alarm and the number of sick people and dead people keeps growing. I am really scared and deeply sad.

Queste foto sono dell'inizio del mese di marzo, quindi circa una settimana prima della chiusura. Sembrano trascorsi anni. Ho fatto fatica ad adattarmi a questa nuova routine e specialmente nella prima settimana mi sentivo molto in ansia e nervosa quindi mi riusciva difficile postare o anche fare qualcosa di semplice. Ora sto meglio anche se l'Italia è davvero in un momento difficile e il numero dei contagiati e delle persone decedute continua a crescere. Mi sento molto spaventata e profondamente triste.

An 80s comeback, the white boots trend was a winter must have but they are also going to be a Spring one. I found my perfect pair of Chelsea boots from Fabi and in this outfit I wore them with another big trend: the slouchy jeans. High waisted and balloon shaped, these jeans are going to be the most worn type of jeans from all fashionistas of the world. Not the best jeans to enhance your curves but it's super comfy and as you know, I love to wear new trends! The important thing is that there isn't a low waist come back, I personally hate it...even tho I have old pictures of me wearing extra slow waisted pants!

Per un ritorno agli anni '80, il trend degli stivaletti bianchi è un must have dell'inverno ma lo resta anche per la Primavera. Ho trovato il mio paio preferito di Chelsea boots da Fabi e in questo outfit l'ho indossato con un altro trend molto forte: i jeans slouchy. A vita alta e a palloncino, questi jeans saranno il modello più indossato dalle fashionista di tutto il mondo come modello di pantalone denim. Non il jeans migliore per esaltare le curve, ma si tratta di un modello comodissimo e, come sapete, adoro i nuovi trend! L'importante è che non torni troppo la vita bassa, che personalmente detesto...anche se ho foto di una volta che mi ritraggono con jeans a vita bassissima!

It's Valentine's day and I couldn't help posting my look with heart shaped sunglasses. I do believe we gotta celebrate love everyday but I have nothing against this celebration, maybe I like it especially because my name is Valentina! Here's my look for Valentine's day, with my new Valentino VRING bag in the iconic red color of the maison. I have been in love with these bags as soon as they came out. I love the golden monogram hardware and the compartmentalized interior. The size of this bag ia also perfect: not too big nor too small and suitable both for more formal looks and for fun ones. The top handle is quite long and it's different from the usual bags. I sported it with a star print dress from Maje and a long Malloni wool cardigan.

E' San Valentino e non potevo non postare un look con occhiali a forma di cuore! Credo sicuramente che occorra celebrare l'amore ogni giorno ma non ho niente contro questa festa, forse ancor più dato che mi chiamo Valentina! Ecco il mio look per il giorno di San Valentino, con la mia nuova borsa Valentino VRING nell'iconico rosso della maison. Mi sono innamorata di queste borse non appena uscite. Adoro l'hardware oro col maxi logo e l'interno a scomparti, inoltre la grandezza di questa borsa è davvero perfetta: non grande ma neanche piccola, adatta sia a look formali che ad outfit più particolari. Il lungo manico la rende diversa dalle solite borse. L'ho abbinata a un abito con stampa stelle di Maje ed a un lungo cardigan in lana Malloni.

Welcome, February! January seemed really too long. One of my favorite ways to wear a tulle skirt is with combat boots. Again, here we are with the contrasts I always like. This ballerina skirt is decorated with tiny golden stars and I decided to wear it daytime with a fun and cozy sweater and golden combat boots from AGL.

Idea outfit: che ne dite di indossare una gonna in tulle con anfibi dorati?

Benvenuto, febbraio! Gennaio è sembrato durare davvero troppo. Uno dei miei modi preferiti di indossare una gonna in tulle è con gli anfibi. Rieccoci con la mania dei contrasti che mi sono tanto graditi. Questa ballerina skirt è decorata con piccolissime stelle dorate e ho pensato di abbinarla a un maglioncino caldo e divertente e ad anfibi dorati di AGL.

Combat boots are all the rage now and they are going to be our best friends in Spring 2020. A cool way to wear them is with a check mini skirt, like I did with this outfit. I personally love to wear combats with sheer stockings because I am a lover of contrasts and what's more different than a super feminine stocking and a military inspired boot?. Moreover, if you don't dare wearing a short miniskirt with heels because it would be too much, this is the perfect way to make it "easier".

Gli anfibi sono super trendy al momento e saranno i nostri migliori amici anche nella primavera 2020. Un bel modo di indossarli è con una minigonna a quadri, come ho fatto con questo outfit. Personalmente adoro indossare anfibi e calze velate insieme perché sono una amante dei contrasti, e cosa c'è di più diverso di una calza velatissima e anfibi di ispirazione militare? Inoltre, se non osate indossare una minigonna con tacchi alti per paura sia troppo, questo è un modo perfetto per rendero più facile.
