I fell totally in love with this black boater hat with golden conchos, it's perfect for my rockstar style outfits, for my western style ones but it's gonna look great also on a simple black coat this winter. In this cowgirl look, I styled it on a white top, ripped Levi's 501 as shorts and a pair of fun, eyecatching cowgirl boots.

Aria da rockstar e stile western vanno spesso insieme, e ancora di più con questo bellissimo cappello Celestial Boater del brand australiano Lack of Color. Mi sono completamente innamorata di questo cappello da barcaiolo nero con applicazioni dorate, è perfetto per i miei outfit da rockstar, per quelli più western ma starà benissimo anche su un semplice cappotto nero questo inverno. In questo look da cowgirl, l'ho abbinato a top bianco, pantaloncini creati da Levi's 501 e un paio di simpaticamente vistosi stivali da cowgirl.

A long weekend is waiting for us and I am so happy about it, I need it !. I am not going anywhere in particular this time, but I am just happy to be able to take things a bit slowly, enjoying little things ! Let's celebrate the weekend traveling only...in time, with a vintage 50s style outfit, thanks to this lace midi dress with red strips I found on Chicwish, my little red "Bonjour" crossbody bag and one of my favorite necklaces for Spring/Summer 2014 from Sodini bijoux.

Ciao a tutti ! Ci aspetta un weekend lungo e ne sono molto felice, ne avevo bisogno !. Non andrò in nessun posto in particolare questa volta, ma sono già soddisfatta di poter rallentare con i ritmi, godendomi le piccole cose ! Celebriamo il weekend viaggiando solo...nel tempo, con un outfit un po' stile vintage anni 50, grazie a questo abitino in pizzo menta a lunghezza midi, con inserti in rosso, trovato su Chicwish, la mia tracollina rossa "Bonjour" ed una delle mie collane preferite della collezione Primavera/Estate 2014 Sodini bijoux.

The sunset is my favorite moment of the day, especially on this time of the year, when the air is calm and I can have a walk by the seaside, smelling the sea scent on an almost empty beach, taking things slowly for a bit, enjoying life. 

The orange color of the sunset and the blue shade of the sky and the sea were my inspirations for this romantic but edgy, somehow vintage style outfit, featuring my brand new statement necklace and bracelet from Sodini bijoux Spring Summer 2014 collection.

Il tramonto è il mio momento preferito della giornata, specialmente in questo periodo dell'anno e quando l'aria è calma e riesco a fare una bella passeggiata vicino al mare, a sentirne il profumo su una spiaggia quasi deserta, lasciando i problemi a casa per prendendomela comoda per un po'. Per me questo significa godersi la vita.

L'arancio del tramonto ed il blu di cielo e mare sono state le mie ispirazioni per questo outfit romantico ma particolare, con un tocco vintage, impreziosito da collana e bracciale "statement" dalla collezione Primavera Estate 2014 di Sodini bijoux.

Hippie style: bell bottoms and Lita flower

I have always been extremely fond of 70s fashion and music. Every now and then we have a fashion come back with the restyling of some 60s and 70s trends, you may call it Boho-chic, bohemian up to 70s disco glam. 

The hippie movement, born in '60 originally in the USA, in my beloved Greenwich Village in New York and in San Francisco, ended up for leaving a permanent sign worldwide and spread its ideas and philosophy thru music, television, film, the arts and literature.

Hippie fashion style to me means freedom, mixing of patterns, fun with prints, tye dye, flower power, bell bottom/flare pants and sky high platforms...mix them together and you have the recipe to this outfit. I had fun time travelling...back to the dawning of the Age of Aquarius ! ;)

Sono sempre stata appassionata dalla moda e dalla musica degli anni 70. Ogni tanto la moda ci propone una qualche rivisitazione dei trend legati agli anni '60 e '70, che si chiamino Boho-chic, bohemienne fino ad arrivare al glam disco.

Il movimento hippie, nato a metà degli anni '60 originariamente negli USA, precisamente nel mio amato Greenwich Village a New York e a San Francisco, ha lasciato segni indelebili in tutto il mondo e ha diffuso le proprie idee e i propri costumi attraverso la musica, la televisione, le arti e la letteratura.

Lo stile hippie per me significa libertà, mixare stoffe, divertirsi con le stampe, il tie dye, il flower power, pantaloni a zampa e scarpe con platforms altissimi...mixate tutto ciò ed otterrete la ricetta di questo outfit. Mi sono divertita a viaggiare nel tempo...fino all'alba dell'Età dell'Acquario ! ;)

Military & Miniskirt !

Something quite masculine, a black biker jacket, can turn into a very feminine model if it's in velveteen fabric, especially if it has studs on the sleeves and it's pretty short. Add to that one of the most feminine items we can have in our wardrobe, even if it's in camouflage print: a miniskirt ! Here we are with a "Military and Miniskirt" look, a feminine outfit with a military twist :).

Un capo abbastanza maschile come una giacca da motocliclista nera può diventare un modello molto femminile in velluto, specialmente con delle borchie dorate a fine manica e se aderente. Aggiungeteci uno dei capi più femminili che si possano avere nel guardaroba, nonostante la stampa camouflage: una minigonna ! Ecco pronto un outfit "Militare e Minigonna", femminile sebbene di ispirazione "army" !.

I have to say I don't wear miniskirts as often as I used to do in the past, but this one caught my eyes at Zara...I quickly added it to my other purchases without even going to the fitting rooms ! Ok, I often skip the fitting rooms at Zara because I love the shop but the fitting rooms are often a disgrace and a hell to be in !. I always wear miniskirts with opaque tights because I like them much more with them, I am a no tights or opaque tights kind of person.

Devo ammettere di non indossare minigonne spesso come un tempo, ma questa mi ha colpita subito da Zara e l'ho aggiunta ai miei acquisti senza neanche passare dai camerini ! Non che ci entri spesso, i camerini di Zara sono un luogo infernale !. Come sempre, ho indossato la minigonna con calze coprenti, le preferisco di gran lunga, sono il tipo di persona che passa da "senza le calze" ai 50-100 denari !.

I opted for very high heels with these Jeffrey Campbell "Le chic" cut-out green suede pumps. These shoes are pretty high but quite comfy because have a concealed platform. They sold it also in black but I thought green suede would be more original and fun to wear ;). Below you can see them better !.

Ho optato per tacchi alti con queste pumps scamosciate verdi con dettagli aperti di Jeffrey Campbell, modello "Le chic", altine ma comode grazie al plateau interno. Erano vendute anche in nero ma ho pensato che verdi fossero più originali e divertenti da indossare. Le potete vedere meglio in dettaglio nella foto sottostante !.

As bag, I went for a Zara studded clutch you had already seen before.
The lipstick I used is one of my fave lipsticks ever, Chanel rouge Coco n. 45 "Caractère", I think this time I am gonna finish a lipstick totally because I can't seem to get tired of wearing it !.
That is all for my feminine military look !. I feel more like a soldier of shopping and even tho I am not living in the USA, I hope I can do some online Black Friday shopping !.
Also, let me wish all my american readers a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow ! I am going to celebrate it anyway in a restaurant that organized a Thanksgiving menu with american food, can't wait ;).

Questo è tutto per questo look femminile e militare. Mi sento come una soldatessa dello shopping e, sebbene non viva negli USA, credo riuscirò a fare un po' di online shopping nel "Black Friday" !.
A proposito, lasciatemi augurare ai miei lettori americani un felice Giorno del Ringraziamento, domani ! Io lo festeggerò in un ristorante che ha organizzato un menu del Ringraziamento con cibo americano, non vedo l'ora ;).

In these pics I am also wearing something new that is make up related ! I have finally bought my first BB cream, the Doré one from Erborian and I like it so far...it's not sticky, it blends very easily and it feels like having nothing on the skin !. The lipstick is new as well, I actually went to Sephora to buy a lipstick from Estée Lauder that melted in my purse and got so disappointed because that color got discontinued. To cheer myself up, I bought the Lancome "Rouge in Love - Rose Boudoir" lipstick that I am also wearing in these pics. Not bad at all, but I still miss my broken lipstick, gone forever ! I am sure most of you know the feeling !.

In queste foto indosso anche qualcosa di nuovo per quanto riguarda il make up ! Infatti ho finalmente comprato la mia prima BB cream, quella di Erborian, precisamente la versione Doré e devo dire che mi sto trovando benissimo...non è appiccicosa, si sfuma con facilità e la sensazione è di non avere niente sulla pelle !. Anche il rossetto è nuovo, ero tornata da Sephora per ricomprare un rossetto di Estée Lauder che si era sciolto in borsa e sono rimasta delusa perché hanno cambiato numerazione e formula e il colore che amavo non è più in produzione. Per consolarmi, mi sono "lanciata" su un altro rossetto, scegliendo quello di Lancome "Rouge in Love - Rose Boudoir" che vedete in queste foto. Non male, ma mi manca ancora il mio rossetto ormai andato per sempre ! Sono certa che molte di voi conosceranno la sensazione !.

A much needed Custo dress

First of all, I have decided to make my pics larger because many of you asked me to, what do you think ? I need your advice on the matter, in order to decide what's better, thank you :).
The dress you see in these pics has a story and most of my Twitter friends know it :). I had spotted it in a shop in my town but the only size left was n. 3, and my size is n. 1. I tried it anyway but it was way too large and since the way it's designed and also the fabric it would have been so hard to adjust it to a smaller size, so I left the shop a bit sad and very determined to buy it. I looked for it online and I found out Custo online store had one left in my size !. Thank you for online shopping !.

Prima di tutto, ho deciso di rendere le mie foto più grandi perché molti di voi me lo hanno chiesto, cosa ne pensate ? Ho bisogno di una vostra opinione per decidere se tornare al formato più piccolo o meno, grazie :).
Questo abito ha una storia che la maggior parte dei miei amici su Twitter la conosce. L'avevo notato in un negozio della mia città quando l'unica taglia rimasta era la n. 3, invece la mia è una prima. L'ho provato ugualmente ma era troppo largo e sia per la stoffa che per i drappeggi sarebbe stato difficile aggiustarlo ad una taglia più piccola, per cui sono uscita dal negozio con un velo di tristezza ma molta determinazione a farlo mio. L'ho cercato online e scoperto che l'e-shop di Custo ne aveva proprio uno della mia taglia!. Meno male che esiste lo shopping online !.

I have to say I had to wait more than I had thought to receive my dress because they were facing storage problems and also I think they went on holidays for a while because the customer service was not available, I even panicked I would not receive it before the end of summer (!), but when I finally got the package I was really satisfied with it and I also got a kind e-mail from Custo explaining me why it took longer than expected ;).
Here's the much needed Custo dress: I like the colors, the shape and also the sequinned neckline !. Maybe it's true, when something is hard to get, we tend to want it even more...isn't it ?? ;-).

Ho dovuto aspettare più del previsto per ricevere il tanto agognato abito perché hanno avuto problemi di magazzino e credo anche che nel frattempo siano intervenute le ferie perché il servizio clienti era irreperibile, mi stavo preoccupando di non riceverlo più per l'estate (!), ma quando il pacco è finalmente arrivato sono stata molto soddisfatta del mio acquisto e ho anche ricevuto una gentile e-mail dal servizio clienti dove mi spiegava i motivi del ritardo ;).
Ecco, dunque, il tanto desiderato abito di Custo...Mi piacciono i colori, la forma e anche il bordo ricamato sullo scollo !. Forse è vero, quando è più difficile ottenere qualcosa, ecco che lo desideriamo ancora di più, vero ? ;-).

I have decided to wear the Custo dress with my beloved black Balenciaga work bag and since I had a long walk to go for, I matched it with my Jeffrey Campbell Darian wedges that are comfy and high ;).
The colored bracelet was a purchase I made in Sorrento, I love it !.

Ho deciso di usare la mia adorata Balenciaga Work e siccome avevo una lunga passeggiata da fare, ho abbinato il tutto alle mie zeppe di Jeffrey Campbell modello "Darian" che sono super comode oltre che alte ;). Il braccialetto colorato è un acquisto fatto tempo addietro a Sorrento, lo adoro !.

In these days I have been relaxing with my fave fashion magazines and I am so thrilled about shopping for new Fall clothes...even tho the weather is so warm that I can hardly imagine myself buying sweaters and winter jackets, for now ! Have you already bought something for the Fall ?.

Altre news: ho quasi del tutto completato la ristrutturazione dell'appartamento e la settimana prossima dovrò tornare in ufficio. Vi mostrerò presto alcune foto dei nuovi mobili.
In questi giorni mentre mi rilassavo ho letto alcuni dei miei giornali di moda preferiti e come al solito mi hanno fatto venire molta voglia di fare shopping di nuovi capi per l'autunno...anche se con questo caldo tremendo non riesco ancora a immaginarmi che compro maglioni o giacche invernali !. Voi avete già comprato qualcosa per l'autunno ?.

Maxi tee or mini dress ?

I think most of you have been doubtful, at least once in your life, whether an item of clothing in your closet would be considered as a maxi tee or mini dress !? Yes, I am talking about that precise item of clothing that you can wear and style in both ways 'cause it's long enough to be a dress and short enough to be a t-shirt !.
I like such kind of clothes cause they have "a double life", I can change look by simply wearing them with leggings or skinny jeans underneath or by wearing them with bare legs and heels. Do you own something like this and what do you prefer ?.

Credo che la maggior parte di voi, almeno una volta nella vita, si sia trovata di fronte a questo importante dubbio: si tratta di una maxi t-shirt o di un mini vestito ? Sì, sto parlando di un preciso capo di abbigliamento che si può indossare in entrambi i modi, in quanto lungo abbastanza da essere un abito, corto abbastanza da poter ancora essere una maglia !.
Personalmente amo questo tipo di indumenti perché hanno una doppia vita, posso cambiarli semplicemente indossandoli con leggings o skinny pants oppure con le gambe nude e tacchi alti. Avete anche voi qualcosa del genere e come preferite indossarlo ?.

This time I have decided to consider this lovely striped dress from Oasap as a maxi t-shirt, wearing it with black skinny pants from Tally Weijl.
The dress is a One Size, quite large for me so I put my waistline in evidence by using a sash belt, I often do this with large dresses/maxi t-shirts.
My Jeffrey Campbell Darian wedges (bought in New York and always great) and Balenciaga Work completed the look, together with a studded necklace from Pull and Bear.

Questa volta ho deciso di considerare questo delizioso abito a righe di Oasap come una maxi maglia, indossandolo insieme a pantaloni skinny neri di Tally Weijl.
L'abito a righe è una taglia unica, abbastanza larga per me, per cui ho evidenziato il punto vita con una fusciacca in pelle, lo faccio spesso con abiti larghi o maxi tees.
Le mie zeppe di Jeffrey Campbell modello Darian (prese a New York e sempre attuali) e la Balenciaga Work hanno completato il look, insieme ad una collana con borchie di Pull and Bear.

Here's my set for this outfit ;)

I was lucky enough to have a tank top the same green color in my closet - thank you Zara !. I have a special thing with open shoulder t-shirts, love them...and I will love them more once I will finally be a bit tanned ! I am dreaming about holidays but I have to wait for them, still !.

Sono stata così fortunata dal trovare una canotta dello stesso verde della maglia nel mio armadio - grazie Zara !. Ho un'attrazione particolare per le maglie asimmetriche o dalle spalle scoperte, le amo...e mi piaceranno anche di più con un po' di abbronzatura ! Sto sognando le vacanze ma per quelle c'è ancora tempo !.
