Comfy outfit with my first Ariat boots: my review of Ariat Elastic calf western boots

An ethnic print cardigan and my new Ariat boots are both great for a cozy and comfy western style outfit. I was excited to try the famous Ariat boots; Ariat is a very popular brand in the USA, it has a long history of producing some of the most technologically innovative footwear for internationally known equestrian athletes. This is the first pair I own and I went for this Heritage Elastic calf western boot. I wanted something both simple and wearable and for a change I didn't go for a snip toe, these boots have a sligthly oval toe. The western stitching in a rust color is adorable and the leather is very supple and smooth. Comfy, sturdy, so far I am loving my first pair...and I know it won't be the last!. I have slim calves but these ones have elastic panels so that they can adapt even to bigger calves, so if you have problems these ones are also for you! So comfy and easy to pull in.

Un cardigan a stampa etnica e i miei nuovi stivali Ariat sono entrambi perfetti per un outfit western e comodo. Non vedevo l'ora di provare i famosi stivali Ariat; Ariat è un brand molto popolare negli USA, ha una lunga storia nel produrre calzature tecnologicamente avanzate anche per gli sport equestri. Questo è il mio primo paio e ho scelto questo stivale Heritage Elastic calf western boot. Volevo qualcosa che fosse sia semplice e portabile e per cambiare non ho scelto uno stivale a punta, questi hanno una punta ovale. Il ricamo western in color ruggine è adorabile e la pelle è molto morbida e liscia. Sono comodi, solidi, li sto amando...e so già che non saranno il mio unico paio!. Io ho polpacci snelli ma se avete problemi con gli stivali, questi sono in pelle elastica quindi si adattano anche a chi ha polpacci più importanti. Ve li consiglio! Comodi e facili da indossare.

The gingham trend in a new outfit, where I am wearing a ruffle gingham skirt with a beautiful letters-heart tee from Simona Elsa Calabrese, "Simocal", a hand lettering artist I have had the pleasure to know thanks to my blog. Simona is very talented and on her blog "Dove le lettere diventano corpo" you can find many of her works, including clothing, pottery, pillows and much more. I decided my Simocal t-shirt and this ruffled gingham skirt were a perfect match, and instead of opting for a total black & white look I added my favorite color: royal blue, with my Le Silla sparkling boat shoes and brand new Moschino crossbody bag.

Il trend dei quadretti Vichy in un nuovo outfit, dove indosso una gonna a quadretti con rouche con una bella maglietta letters-heart di Simona Elsa Calabrese, "Simocal", una hand lettering artist che ho avuto il piacere di conoscere grazie al mio blog. Simona ha molto talento e sul suo blog "Dove le lettere diventano corpo" potete trovare molti suoi lavori, sia di abbigliamento che di ceramica, cuscini e molto altro. Ho deciso che la mia t-shirt Simocal e questa gonna a quadrettini con riccio erano un'abbinata perfetta, ma anziché optare per un look tutto bianco e nero ho aggiunto il mio colore preferito, il blu elettrico, con le scarpe da barca scintillanti Le Silla e la mia nuova borsa a tracolla Moschino.

White is one of the hottest trends for this summer, and a white dress is a must have wardrobe staple, as well as a making us look more tanned, and keeping us fresh. This is what I thought when I saw this lovely Sangallo dress at Mango store, and it had to be mine straight away !. Wearing white from head to toe is also very trendy for this season, and I wanted to try it myself with this total white look, leaving out the only detail of the Moschino bag.

Il bianco è uno dei trend più in voga dell'estate, ed un abito bianco è un must have in ogni guardaroba, un pezzo forte che oltre ad essere di moda ci fa sembrare più abbronzate e sentire più fresche. E' per questo che non appena visto questo adorabile abitino in Sangallo da Mango, ho dovuto comprarlo !. Inoltre, indossare look total white è molto di moda, e ho voluto provare anche io con questo outfit, lasciando solo il tocco di altro colore con la borsa Moschino.

Hello there, sweetie pies ! How is august treating you so far ? I can't believe this month is already here, time is running fast...and I can't wait to go on holidays ! Anyway, if I can't be totally free, yet...I can always dress as if I already am on holidays ! Today's outfit post is very summery, indeed...orange, green and yellow colors, a floral-tropical print for a comfy mini dress and a touch of white lace on the border and Sangallo lace on a cute little blazer. 

Ciao, dolcezze ! Come procede l'estate ad oggi ? Non riesco a crederci che siamo già arrivati ad agosto, il tempo vola e io non vedo l'ora di andare in vacanza ! Comunque, anche se non riesco ancora ad andare in vacanza...posso sempre vestirmi come se ci fossi già ! Il post outfit di oggi è molto estivo, infatti...arancio, verde e giallo, un mini abito a stampa floreale-tropicale, ed un tocco di pizzo bianco per il bordo e di pizzo Sangallo per un piccolo blazer.

Going out with my new Marc by Marc Jacobs bag has been one of the highlights of the weekend, together with sunny weather ! I was finally able to wear a leather jacket :).
This Mango dress was waiting for me in my closet with tag still attached and it was screaming to get my attention...I have so many hangers in my closets that it's hard to find something, this is truly the time of the year when I get completely lost in my closets...it isn't totally warm yet so wool clothes and coats are still around and there's new things being added all the time !.
You can easily sport me talking by myself when I can't find something, it's not that I am a crazy, at least not totally...I am just a shopaholic that feels defeated from the concept of space !. Do you also complain and get nervous when you can't find something or do you still have control over your own clothes ? Let me know that I am not alone, please :-).

Uscire con la mia nuova borsa Marc by Marc Jacobs è stata sicuramente una delle cose migliori di questo weekend, insieme al tempo che è stato soleggiato e caldo ! Finalmente ho potuto indossare una giacca di pelle. Questo abito di Mango mi stava aspettando nell'armadio con l'etichetta ancora attaccata da un bel po' e stava gridando per attirare la mia attenzione...ho così tante stampelle nei miei armadi che è molto difficile trovare qualcosa, questo è il periodo dell'anno in cui mi sento più impotente di fronte all'avanzare del disordine...non è ancora abbastanza caldo da poter abbandonare abiti in lana e cappotti e in più ci sono nuovi acquisti che continuo ad aggiungere !.
Mi capita spesso di parlare da sola e mi lamento di non riuscire a trovare un abito, non è che io sia pazza, almeno non completamente...sono solo una shopaholic che si sente ormai sconfitta dal concetto di spazio !. Anche voi vi lamentate spesso e vi innervosite quando non riuscite a trovare qualcosa o avete ancora il controllo totale dei vostri abiti ? Fatemi sapere che non sono l'unica, per favore :-).

I don't like to complain but lately there's something that bugs me...I notice many average brands have lifted their prices in a way that has no meaning. Example: a couple of days ago I entered at Liu-Jo shop and was very surprised to see their prices went pretty sky-high and the quality stays the same. I had seen a denim jacket with a line of sequinned pearls and it costed as much as a leather jacket !. I am sorry cause I have seen the same thing happening to another brand, Sixty was a brand I adored but I don't buy as much as I used to from them cause prices went ridiculously high and the quality didn't improve.
I think this is a no win strategy cause people will either go to higher quality brands or if they need o save, will go to low cost brand.
Another thing that bugs me is that a few shops in my town sell clothes from abroad online shops at a higher price...don't they know that now that most of online shops sell worldwide customers can check on the price ? It's not a good thing when you find out only after your purchase that you could have ordered that dress online for a much cheaper price !. Italians: do you agree ? And if you are not in Italy: does it happen in your country, as well ?. Anyway, as a result of this I find myself more and more attracted to online shopping !.

Non mi piace lamentarmi ma ultimamente qualcosa mi infastidisce...noto che molti brand di medio livello hanno alzato i prezzi in modo davvero ingiustificato. L'altro giorno, ad esempio, sono entrata nel monomarca Liu-Jo e ho trovato dei prezzi molto alti per la qualità dei prodotti. Avevo puntato una giacchina in jeans che solo per un filo di perle applicate costava come una giacca di pelle !.
Credo che questa non sia una strategia vincente perché le persone preferiranno puntare o su brand dalla qualità maggiore o, se vogliono risparmiare, andranno sul low cost !. Mi dispiace perché ho visto accadere una cosa simile alla Sixty, brand che adoravo e che ora uso poco proprio perché a mio modesto parere i prezzi sono troppo alti e la qualità non è cresciuta.
Credo questa strategia non sia premiante: a questo punto molta gente preferirà puntare su brand di livello più alto oppure si dirigerà su brand low cost che hanno almeno un prezzo inferiore.
Un'altra cosa fastidiosa: alcuni negozi della mia città vendono abiti che si possono comprare online da negozi esteri ad un prezzo notevolmente superiore...non sanno forse che ormai, dato che la maggior parte dei negozi online spediscono in tutto il mondo, i clienti possono controllare il prezzo ? Non è piacevole scoprire solo dopo l'acquisto di aver pagato inutilmente un prezzo gonfiato. Italiani: siete d'accordo con me ? E se non siete in Italia: accade anche nel vostro paese ?. Io, di conseguenza, mi scopro sempre più fan dello shopping online !.

A leopard can't change its spots !

It's said a leopard can't change its spots to mean a person cannot truly change the way she/he is. I feel in a way, it's true even in fashion, I am sure it happens to most of you to keep being attracted to the same things.
I realized this even more when I noticed I have several leopard shoes in my shoe closet...I mean, it's not like black shoes or neutral color shoes, it's not something everyone would wear everyday, yet I have leopard loafers, leopard sneakers, and high heeled pumps in leopard print...If wearing leopard shoes is a crime, I do plead guilty !.

Si dice che un leopardo non possa cambiare le sue macchie per dire che non si può cambiare il proprio modo di essere. Io credo sia, in qualche modo, applicabile anche alla moda...sicuramente accade anche a molti di voi di essere continuamente attratti dalle stesse cose.
Io l'ho capito ancora di più quando ho notato di avere diverse scarpe leopardate nella mia scarpiera...voglio dire, non sto parlando di scarpe nere o di colori neutri, non è certamente qualcosa che chiunque indosserebbe ogni giorno, invece ho mocassini leopardati, sneakers e tacchi alti a stampa leopardo...Se calzare scarpe leopardate fosse reato, mi dichiaro colpevole !.

I think in spite of being really eye-catching, leopard printed shoes can go well with many outfits...So here they are, two outfits with two shoes of my (growing) leo-collection.
The first outfit is more romantic and elegant, with that mid lenght golden brown skirt bought online, the short cardi from Pinko and Paciotti shoes and the other one is bolder and suitable for everyday, with a simple burgundy Mango dress, blazer shaped cardigan from Carla G and leopard ankle boots.
Which one do you prefer ? I am curious to know :-). Would you wear leopard shoes and how ?.

Io credo che nonostante siano molto appariscenti, le scarpe leopardate possano andare bene con diversi outfits...Allora eccovene due con due paia di scarpe dalla mia leo-collezione (sempre in crescita).
Il primo outfit è più romantico ed elegante, con la gonna bronzo dorata comprata online, di media lunghezza, la giacchina corta di Pinko e scarpe di Paciotti e l'altro è più grintoso e adatto a tutti i giorni, con quel semplice abitino bordeaux di Mango, cardigan a blazer di Carla G e stivaletti alla caviglia.
Quale dei due preferite ? Sono curiosa di saperlo :-). Calzereste scarpe leopardate e come le abbinereste ?.

Said that, this time of the year is a bit depressing when it comes to go out window shopping...I prefer lurking to new clothes online ! In the shops in town there are sales still and I need to see new things ! The only place I am happy to go to in these days is Sephora ! I've already bought a few things from new make up collection, here's my little haul.
I had already bought the Chanel June polish last week, the other things I've bought them yesterday and today instead. I am so in love with that Dior palette, can't wait to use it, even tho it's so beautiful that I already know I am gonna feel a bit guilty when I have to use it the first time !. The only item that is not from a new collection is the Dior lip polish, I bought it again cause I run out of it and I love it ;-) plus I think it matches Chanel's June quite well !.

Questo periodo dell'anno è un po' deprimente quando si tratta di uscire per vetrine...preferisco guardarmi le novità online ! Nei negozi in città ci sono ancora i saldi e io ho bisogno di vedere cose nuove ! L'unico luogo in cui sono contenta di andare in questi giorni è Sephora ! Ho già acquistato qualcosa dalle nuove collezioni, eccovi il mio piccolo haul.
Lo smalto Chanel June lo avevo preso dalla settimana scorsa, invece le altre cosine le ho prese tra ieri e oggi. Mi piace tantissimo la palettina Dior, non vedo l'ora di usarla, anche se è così bella che già so che mi sentirò un po' in colpa quando dovrò usarla per la prima volta !. L'unico articolo che non proviene da una nuova collezione è il lip polish di Dior, l'ho ricomprato perché mi era finito e lo adoro ;-) e in più credo si abbini bene con lo smalto June di Chanel !.

Blue is the color of freedom

What's better than a comfy leather tote and a pair of comfy heels to go out for shopping ? :-) The other day a girl asked me about those sandals whilst I was in a shop, she said she liked them and wanted to know the brand and where I had bought them. Sometimes it happens to me too to look at someone's outfit and wish to know where their clothes and shoes come from, I have to say I am normally a bit shy when it comes to asking for an information, a thing that is so easy on a blog is not as easy in everyday life ! ;-). It made me think that we should be more open to networking also in our town, with those around us. Anyway, I have many shoes but those are surely one of the comfiest pair of high heeled sandals I bought for this summer !.
I was also wearing that leather tote bag from Diesel, I like the color, very "Tiffany blue", it was love at first sight with that bag I found on sale, I couldn't believe my eyes cause I am not so lucky when it comes to bargains !. What about you, are you usually lucky when it comes to sales ?.
Now I going to download some more apps for my brand new Ipad 2, it was my birthday present from hubby :-) and I am so happy with it !. Thank you for your birthday wishes and for your kind comments !. I will introduce you to my new Bag soon ;-). Before I post this...Go and watch Super 8 at the movies, I loved it and I keep being a huge JJ Abrams fan !.

Cosa c'è di meglio di una comoda borsa a spalla e un paio di tacchi alti ma comodi per un giro di shopping ? :-) L'altro giorno una ragazza mi ha fermata per chiedermi informazioni su questi sandali mentre ero intenta a fare shopping, voleva sapere di che marca erano e dove li avevo comprati. A volte succede anche me di guardare il look di qualcuno e di desiderare di conoscere da dove vengano i vestiti e le scarpe, devo ammettere che non lo faccio spesso in quanto divento un po' timida, una cosa tanto facile da chiedere su un blog non è altrettanto facile nella vita di tutti i giorni !. Mi è venuto da pensare che dovremmo essere più aperti al networking anche nella nostra città, con coloro che ci circondano ;-). Comunque, devo dire che ho molte scarpe ma questi sandali sono sicuramente tra i più comodi comprati nel corso di questa estate !.
Indossavo anche questa tote bag in pelle di Diesel, mi piace il colore, molto "Blue Tiffany", è stato amore a prima vista per questa borsa che ho trovato a saldo, proprio io che di solito non ho fortuna e non riesco mai a risparmiare ! . Che mi dite di voi, di solito siete fortunate con i saldi ?.
Ora vado a scaricare qualche bella app per il mio nuovo Ipad 2, regalo di compleanno del mio maritino :-), ne sono entusiasta !. Grazie per i vostri auguri e per i commenti !. Vi farò conoscere la mia nuova Borsa molto presto ;-).

Hello, dear readers ! Time for a new post inspired by a very hot sun and a wonderful blu sea :)
In the following pics I am a nice dress bought on sale at Mango and a pair of sandals from Icone.
As you can see, in those pics my hair is less straight, it's a bit more curly. I have to say I like it like that, my natural hair isn't straight nor curly but something in between and it's pretty dry and delicate and I've been fighting with it since when I was a little girl...the straightening iron is always with me wherever I go...only a few hairdressers are capable of giving me a blow dry I really like ! In order to keep my hair at its best I've tried tons of products. My fave products at the moment are the John Frieda ones, followed by Kerastase (the Oleo relax serie). What are your must have products for your hair and are you always happy with your salon's results ?. I take advantage to wish you all a happy Mid August ! Relax and have fun ! :)

Salve, cari lettori ! Tempo di un nuovo post ispirato dal sole cocente e da un mare meravigliosamente blu :) Nelle foto seguenti indosso un abitino preso ai saldi da Mango e un paio di sandali Icone.
Come potete notare, in queste foto i miei capelli hanno una piega meno liscia, più vaporosa...devo dire che mi piacciono così, i miei capelli al naturale non sono né lisci né ricci, una via di mezzo e sono secchi e molto delicati...ho combattuto con la messa in piega dei capelli fino dalla tenera età...la piastra lisciante è sempre con me ovunque io vada...solo pochi parrucchieri sono stati capaci di rendermi felice della loro messa in piega ! Per tenere al meglio i capelli, in questi anni ho provato diversi prodotti. I miei prodotti preferiti sono al momento quelli di John Frieda, seguiti da quelli di Kerastase (la serie Oleo relax). Quali sono i vostri prodotti must have per i vostri capelli e siete sempre soddisfatte/i dei risultati del parrucchiere ?.

Wind of Change...

A very windy day, a cloudied sky and a new skirt I had to buy as soon as I saw it in the shop, orange with blu stars :-) and here's an outfit I had much fun to wear !. I had this title for my post cause it was windy and also cause wearing such a skirt is a change for me, in the past I would have never worn a skirt like this, I would have found this lenght so weird, and now I am so much into this 50s mood ! I must say that changing of style is much more fun than always wearing the same style of clothes ! Always speaking about changes, in the past I almost had only glosses into my make up bag, instead now I keep buying lipsticks. I must confess that when I went out with this orange skirt I realized I didn't have a lipstick that would match the skirt so I rushed myself into the shop to get one...this one I am wearing is from YSL, which is for me as good as Chanel when it comes to lipsticks, they're extremely comfortable and longlasting !. What do you think about it ? Do you prefer gloss or lipstick ?.

Una giornata molto ventosa, il cielo un po' nuovoloso e una gonna nuova di cui mi sono innamorata a prima vista, arancione con stelline blu :-), ed ecco un outfit che mi sono divertita molto a portare !. Ho intitolato questo post il vento del cambiamento oltre per il vento che c'era anche perché un tempo non avrei mai indossato una gonna di questa lunghezza, invece questo mood anni '50 mi ha contagiata e devo dire che mi piace di più osare look diversi tra loro, è molto più divertente cambiare che vestirsi sempre con lo stesso stile secondo me ! Inoltre, sempre parlando di cambiamenti, un paio di estati fa non avevo altro che gloss nella mia borsa, invece adesso sto utilizzando più volentieri i rossetti, ne compro in continuazione !. Quando sono uscita con questa gonna indosso ho realizzato di non avere un rossetto dalla tinta simile, così sono corsa in profumeria per prenderne uno, quello che porto è di YSL che per me, in fatto di rossetti, è alla pari con Chanel tra i migliori per idratazione e morbidezza sulle labbra !. Voi che ne pensate, preferite il gloss o il rossetto ?.
