A Victorian style jacket is the key piece in my almost monochromatic outfit. I fell in love with this vintage style jacket from John Galliano, influenced by Victorian fashion, and I decided to wear it with my maxi pleated skirt. This raspberry color is fantastic, I love it and I never miss the chance to wear it when I find clothes in this shade. I added vintage style ankle boots with embroideries from Giancarlo Paoli in a very modern metallic blue. Pleats on my skirt and pleated ruffles on my shirt make it quite a romantic look.

Gucci vibes are everywhere, and are going to be with us for quite a long time, I think, check out also the Fashion Week Street Style. Alessandro Michele's revolution is visible: retro floral prints, patterns and prints mix, big 70s style glasses, ruffles, pleats and embroidered clothes are here to stay and are displayed also in low cost shops, starting from Zara. As a clothes hoarder, I can honestly enter in my walk in wardrobe and find so many clothes and accessories that, put together, send me those Gucci vibes I am really craving for. Just like I did with this silk suit - large silk pants and a ruffled blouse, that I matched with a waist belt and wore with my Gucci Vintage Web boston bag. I took a pair of large 70s ispired sunglasses, large and squared, and I was ready for the day !

Da accumulatrice seriale di vestiti, posso sinceramente entrare nella mia cabina armadio e trovarci così tanti abiti e accessori che, messi insieme, mi mandano quelle Gucci vibes che in questo momento desidero tanto. Proprio come ho fatto mettendo insieme questo completo in seta - pantaloni larghi e blusa con rouches - che ho abbinato ad una cintura e indossato con il mio bauletto Gucci Vintage Web. Ho scelto un paio di occhiali da sole di ispirazione anni '70, larghi e squadrati, ed ero pronta per uscire !

Last minute Ferragosto. Mid August is an important holiday in Italy, what am I going to do ? It's either the beach or the mountains, and I do not like too much confusion, crowded places, having to queue and even when I am with friends I like to be with a few of them at once. Sure I am going to dress up with bold colors, with a fun dress like this one, bought at Max & Co some time ago, a chemisier dress with full skirt, very chic and orange, a vitaminic color I adore. A frock with oversize flower print that didn't need much to complete my holiday outfit: my Petite Faye bag from Paula Cademartori, and a pair of Loriblu orange suede lace-up sandals. My makeup ? Don't need to say it, focus on orange lipstick and nail polish, from MAC Cosmetics ;-)

Un piccolo discorso sul mio Ferragosto last minute e un abito chemisier con maxi fiori

Ferragosto last minute. Si tratta di una festività sentita in Italia, cosa si fa ? L'alternativa è al mare o in montagna, e io non amo la confusione, le folle, le file e anche quando sono con amici ne preferisco pochi alla volta. Sicuramente mi andrà di vestirmi con colori vivaci, con un abito che metta il buon umore, come questo preso tempo fa da Max & Co, un abito chemisier a ruota molto chic nei toni dell'arancio, colore vitaminico che adoro. Un vestito a fiori oversize che non ha avuto bisogno di molto altro per completare il mio outfit vacanziero: la borsa Petite Faye di Paula Cademartori, ed un paio di sandali in suede arancio allacciati Loriblu. Il makeup ? Neanche a dirlo, incentrato su rossetto e smalto arancio, di MAC Cosmetics ;-)

Lace-up suede heels and something about what I prefer to do on Ferragosto

My orange chemisier dress worn with lace-up suede heels was just an excuse, but I'd like to know what do you usually like to do on August 15th ? I tell you, in the meantime, my favorite things: 

- I prefer to spend "Ferragosto" on the beach, I love the mountains but to the classic pic nic trip I prefer being in a cabin or - even better - in a nice hotel with SPA, plus the sea is my element;

- I love to dance, my idea of fun alwauys includes some music and I never ever say no to some good dancing (I am also an enthusiast salsa dancer, but anything from disco music to house or hip hop music will do)

- I like to have a good fish lunch, sat at the table, with good cold white wine (I am not a fan of buffet, especially if the place is crowded)

- I will never ever enjoy playing with water balloons: you won't ruin my hair blow out so don't you even think about it ! Keep out ! 

Then, I told you my last minute program for Mid August: nothing too different, relax on the beach, great food, great company...and even this August 15th will be gone quickly, just like every year. Soon somebody will want to know what are we going to do on New Year's Eve, get ready for that because the stress seems to be neverending ! In the meantime, have a great weekend and a great August, 15th, everyone !

Sandali lace-up in camoscio e qualcosa a proposito delle mie attività preferite a Ferragosto

Il mio abito chemisier arancio indossato con lace-up in suede dal tacco alto era solo una scusa, ma vorrei prorio sapere solitamente cosa vi piace fare il giorno di Ferragosto ? Vi dirò intanto cosa preferisco io:

- Preferisco trascorrere Ferragosto in spiaggia. Mi piace la montagna ma al pic-nic o alla classica scampagnata preferisco un cottage o - ancora meglio - un bell'hotel con annessa SPA, inoltre il mare è il mio elemento;

- Mi piace ballare, la mia idea di divertimento comprende sempre la musica e non dico mai di no ad un po' di ballo (sono anche una entusiasta ballerina di salsa, ma ballo dalla disco dance all'house o hip hop)

- Mi piace fare un bel pranzo a base di pesce, seduta a tavola con calma e del buon vino bianco freddo (non sono una fan dei buffet, specialmente se il posto è affollato)

- Non mi piacerà mai giocare con le bombe d'acqua o gavettoni come si usa fare: nessuno può mettersi tra me e la piega dei capelli ! Alla larga !

Quindi, vi ho svelato il mio programma last minute per Ferragosto: niente di stravagante, relax, ottimo cibo, ottima compagnia e...anche questo Ferragosto sarà trascorso in fretta, come ogni anno. Presto qualcuno ci chiederà cosa facciamo a Capodanno, tenetevi pronti perché lo stress non finisce mai ! Intanto, buon weekend e buon Ferragosto a tutti voi !

My summer chic outfit with an off the shoulder top and a brand new Robertina bag from Roberta Pieri

An off the shoulder top is by far one of the trendiest pieces of clothing this summer, and as a lover of trends I couldn't help having a few of them in my closet. I love these tops that leave the shoulders naked, also called Bardot, because they turn even a simple outfit into a summer chic one, they have a holiday mood you can sport even in the city. I wore this striped off the shoulder top with a lace trim on a pair of linen pants, what can be more summery than this ? No doubt, my brand new Robertina XL bag from Roberta Pieri, a made in Italy roomy tote bag in canvas and leather, with exquisite details. This is not my first Robertina tote, I love these lightweight practical bags that are perfect in the city and on the beach and this one, with a geometrical print with touches of blue, brings a bit of sun and sky in my days. A beige panama hat and caged sandals from Le Silla completed my summer chic outfit.

Un top off the shoulder è sicuramente uno dei capi più trendy di questa estate, e da amante dei trend non potevo non averne diversi nel mio armadio. Mi piacciono questi top che lasciano scoperte le spalle, anche chiamati Bardot, perché riescono a trasformare anche un outfit semplice in uno summer chic, hanno quel mood vacanziero da sfoggiare anche in città. Ho indossato questo top off the shoulder a righe con bordo in pizzo su un paio di pantaloni in lino, cosa c'è di più estivo ? Sicuramente la borsa Robertina XL di Roberta Pieri, shopper spaziosa made in Italy dai dettagli perfetti, in pelle e tessuto. Non è la mia prima tote Robertina, adoro queste borse leggere e pratiche perché sono perfette sia in città che in spiaggia e questa, dai motivi geometrici con tocchi di azzurro, porta un po' di mare e di cielo nelle mie giornate. Un cappello panama beige e sandali caged Le Silla completano il mio outfit summer chic.

Fleece dress and buttercup yellow bag for today's outfit on my fashion blog. Fleece dresses are more and more popular: this fabric, typical of sweatshirts, is now very popular also on dresses, and make them perfect as transitional clothes, since they aren't too warm nor too light and also grant a nice fitting. I worn my floral fleece dress around Easter, when the air was still pretty fresh, hence my outfit with tights. A touch of buttercup yellow - one of the Pantone colors for Spring 2016, on my fun bag by korean brand PLAYNOMORE: ironically shaped as a mini Hermès Kelly bag, it's ShyGirl bag  that, with its cute eyes embroidery is so adorable it really made me fall in love...at first sight !.

Gli abiti in felpa sono sempre più diffusi: questo tessuto, tipico delle maglie, è ora molto usato anche per confezionare vestiti, e li rende perfetti come abiti da transizione, non essendo né troppo caldi né troppo leggeri e garantendo una ottima vestibilità. Ho indossato il mio abito felpato a fiori intorno a Pasqua, quando l'aria era ancora bella fresca, ecco il perché del look con le calze. Un tocco di giallo buttercup, uno dei colori scelti da Pantone per la Primavera 2016, sulla carinissima borsa del brand coreano PLAYNOMORE: la sua forma ricorda ironicamente una piccola Kelly Hermès, si tratta della ShyGirl bag che, con un carinissimo paio di occhi ricamato, è troppo carina e mi ha fatta davvero innamorare al primo...sguardo !.

Valentine's day is going to be on a Sunday, therefore, instead of just waiting to go on a romantic dinner in the evening, hubby and I decided to start our little celebration earlier - after all, spending an entire day together without having to work is already a blessing. My Valentine's day outfit is, therefore, appropriate for daytime to evening. I chose to get inspired from Grease musical, an evergreen, and I went for a cute little bomber, one of the hottest trends for Spring 2016, an asymmetrical midi skirt and a cute crossbody bag in a light azure color - after all, Serenity, as read on many fashion blogs - is one of the top colors chosen from Pantone for Spring. A romantic Fifites inspired, Grease style look, feminine and fun, also thanks to my Be Kate pumps from Sergio Amaranti, with a cute bow on their back that make them very girly, that I showed you already. Just like in every Valentine's day, red roses are a must have...and I have mine thanks to a handmade brooch from Rosé a Pois...these ones do not fade !.

Il giorno di San Valentino sarà di domenica, pertanto, anziché attendere solo una cena romantica la sera, io e mio marito abbiamo deciso di iniziare la nostra piccola festicciola prima - dopotutto, trascorrere una intera giornata insieme senza dover andare al lavoro è già fantastico. Il mio outfit di San Valentino è, pertanto, adatto al giorno fino alla sera. Ho deciso di ispirarmi al musical Grease, un evergreen, e ho scelto un piccolo bomber corto, uno dei trend per la Primavera 2016, una gonna midi asimmetrica e una deliziosa borsa a tracolla in azzurro chiaro - dopotutto, Serenity, come avete letto su molti fashion blog, è uno dei colori top scelti da Pantone per la Primavera. Un outfit romantico ispirato agli anni Cinquanta stile Grease, femminile e divertente, anche grazie alle mie pumps Be Kate Sergio Amaranti, con un fiocchetto sul retro che le rende molto girly, che vi avevo già mostrato. Come in ogni San Valentino, ci vogliono le rose rosse...e io ho le mie grazie a una spilla handmade di Rosé a Pois...queste non appassiscono !.

My personal fashion blogger recipe on how to easily wear different stripes is simple and has only 3 rules: one: try to repeat the striped pattern on two pieces of clothing that aren't side by side, two: leave a color in common between the prints, just like I did in this case with blue, and third: have fun !

11-11-11, a special date

11-11-11...this is surely an uncommon date, millions of websites have been talking about this and also books, tv and Wikipedia.
I don't know if this date holds any special significance for the world but I know that this day has, for sure, holds a special meaning to me...cause my very best friend and love of my live was born on 11-11 and therefore, this is his big day !. Usually I speak fashion, and I am still doing it...but this post is a great chance to celebrate the man I love and also Fashion and Cookies' official photographer, the man I am proud to call my husband !.
After all, it's also thanks to him that I opened this blog, he encouraged me to do it, he knows well how much I like to express myself, how much I love fashion and how much friends, family and some mutual people we know used to talk about fashion with me, listening with curiosity to my speeches about that thing I must buy to be absolutely satisfied or just grinning at one of my outfits.
We met at work, when he was just a serious, professional and even grumpy expert and I can say with no doubt that my weird matches had a role in making his heart melt ;-). He admitted to being curious to see me in the morning cause I always had that personal touch in my clothes that made me stand out and he could tell about my mood from my clothes.
Now he's the one coming with me for a shopping spree - a hero for this - waiting for me patiently when I decide to try almost all the clothes a shop has...the one shaking his head when something doesn't look too good and also the one smiling when he sees me all happy just cause I found what I was looking for. He knows me well, and yet, he thinks I rock anyway ! - That's love !. Happy birthday E., love, if this is "fashion" then you're the "cookie" !.

11-11-11...non è sicuramente una data comune, ne hanno già parlato milioni di siti, oltre ai libri, alla tv e a Wikipedia. Io non so se questa data abbia un qualche arcano significato speciale per il mondo, so solo che questa data ha, sicuramente, un significato speciale per me...perché il mio migliore amico nonché amore della mia vita è nato proprio l'11-11 e, pertanto, questo è il suo grande giorno !.
Di solito parlo di moda, e continuo a farlo...ma questo post è una grande occasione per celebrare l'uomo che amo nonché fotografo ufficiale di Fashion and Cookies, l'uomo che sono orgogliosa di poter chiamare mio marito !.
Dopotutto, è anche grazie a lui che ho aperto questo blog, mi ha incoraggiata a farlo, conosce la mia voglia di esprimermi e quanto io ami la moda e ha visto che amici, familiari e altri conoscenti comuni hanno sempre parlato di moda con me, ascoltando divertiti i miei discorsi su un articolo che avrei dovuto avere assolutamente per sentirmi soddisfatta, li ha visti sorridere incuriositi guardando uno dei miei outfits.
Noi ci siamo conosciuti sul lavoro, quando lui era soltanto un serio, professionale e anche abbastanza scontroso esperto e posso affermare con sicurezza che i miei improbabili abbinamenti hanno contribuito allo sciogliersi del suo cuore ! ;-).
Ha ammesso che era curioso di vedermi la mattina perché avevo sempre almeno un dettaglio particolare che si faceva notare nel mio abbigliamento e poteva anche capire il mio stato d'animo dagli abiti che avevo scelto.
Ora è anche colui che viene a fare shopping con me - un vero eroe per questo - aspettando pazientemente quando decido di provarmi quasi tutto il negozio...colui che scuote la testa quando qualcosa non mi sta bene e quello che ride guardandomi sprizzare felicità da tutti i pori quando ho trovato ciò che stavo cercando.
Mi conosce bene ed eppure, gli piaccio lo stesso...questo è Amore ! Buon compleanno E., amore, se questa è "fashion", per me tu sei il "cookie" !.

Oh, and for those asking about my Miu Miu bag (see two posts ago)...it got repaired by an artisan and now it's fine, LOL ! Luckily the torn part is not too evident, so a leather patch kind of solved the problem ! Such a relief cause I like that bag so much !.

Restate sintonizzati perché molto presto questo blog avrà il suo primo Giveaway ! Sarà a base di prodotti di make up, qualcosa di esclusivo :-) e spero che parteciperete in tanti !. Nel frattempo volevo ringraziarvi tutti perché leggete e commentate il mio blog, siete meravigliosi e grazie a voi quella del blog è una esperienza divertente e piacevole !. Vorrei anche dire che grazie a questo blog e a Twitter ho conosciuto delle persone veramente simpatiche, molte delle quali sento come vere e proprie amiche !. Mi piace interagire con i miei lettori su Twitter, allora andiamo, questo è il mio account Twitter, passate a salutarmi e seguitemi se volete !. Oh, per coloro che mi chiedevano a proposito della mia borsa di Miu Miu (vedere due post fa)...è stata riparata da un artigiano, ora "sta bene, :-P. Fortunatamente la parte rovinata non si nota molto e una toppa in pelle ha risolto abbastanza il problema ! Un sollievo dato il mio amore per quella borsa !.
